Toure' Murry better make this team. He reminds me of what Toney Douglas could of been but so much better. In the sense that Murry learned how to play the point on the onset while Douglas struggled mightily and was forced to play a position that he's not too much in NY as opposed to working into the position gradually. Murry can defend, score, has handles, and let's his game speak for him low-key dude.
- Eddie Antonio Maldonado
yea maldonando is right on,
guy will drop buckets for you,
brings energy, knows where to be
really glad he is on team, with timmy jr that's one hell of a duo, plus shump? we're stacked at guard
I like him too, but can we not compare a player to Toney Douglas unless we're intending to insult him?

To be fair toney was promising his first few years here. And he's a much better 3-pt shooter than Murry. Dantoni prematurely playing him as the starting point guard just destroyed his confidence though. Murry is a better defender, Douglas gambled on passing lanes way too much.
First Linsanity, then Copesanity. Now for 2013, Murrysanity!
Oh yea, he has to make the roster first...
Even with the logjam, hope he does, he's a terror on D.

Hey man don't blame MDA for TD's failures!!! What is this talk about MDA rushing him to start? Giving a player a chance to show what he can do is not "prematurely playing him". TD was predominantly a backup PG.
SEASON TEAM GP GS MIN PTS ASTS
'09-'10 NY 56 12 19.4 8.6 2.0
'10-'11 NY 81 9 24.3 10.6 3.0
'11-'12 NY 38 9 17.3 6.2 2.0
'12-'13 HOU 49 0 18.6 8.1 1.9
'12-'13 SAC 22 0 17.1 6.1 2.6
Murry won't be left as the only option as TD was, which also wasn't really MDA's fault either. I hope Murry has a chance to fully develop here in NY. We need young cheap talent for the future.
The BEST news from today is that our favorite youngin made the team. YAY MURRY!!! I really love this kid. We need to develop some kids for the future at the same time we're battling for next 2 seasons. This kid deserved his spot and fits what a Knick guard should be. I think he'll be perfect next to Shump.

Glad he made it- he has a great attitude! I know Woody wants him to be a pg, but he looks long enough to play a bit at SF and SG
Only good news about cut day today...
Hope he gets some burn from time to time.
He looks like a pretty hard nosed defender, so imagining he, Shump, Artest and Chandler on the floor together is a pretty nice thought.
JR's brother is just trumping all good Knicks thoughts right now though.

I actually think Kmart's DEF would fit Iman and Murry's style of DEF much better with Kmart's ability to recover quicker and RUN much better
I am glad Chandler worked in the gym but his game at C was always based on mobility for a 7footer while he is much older now, he needs to regain some mobility/athleticism and work on those brick hands of his
Dude really reminds me of Larry Hughes.... gid to have him but he seriously needs to work on his game. He does Alot but nothing particularly well. Not even defense. Dude plays hard though and is focused so let's see
Love this signing. The kid beat out two guys with partially guaranteed contracts to be the fourth point on the team. It says a lot about how highly the Knicks think of him. I wonder if they consider moving a point to get him playing time.

That's why I think of him like Larry Hughes. He's not a shooting guard or a point. He dues seen to be a more natural scorer. Larry Hughes broke out when he played with Arenas and split ball handling duties and was alowed to do his thing.
So much questions for our team.
Felton is not the answer. He's not that much better than Beno or Priggy. Murry could fill the role off the bench and could actually put up Larry Hughes numbers eventually. So much transition going on....
All I see are trades but I think we should calm down. It's hard though. This preseason wasn't very good. We have screws to tighten

I forgot Larry Hughes was on our team for a while! Wasn't he pretty effective for a stretch. Weird, I struggle to remember him- I can't remember how he ended up on our team, or how he left...

Prior to his leaving he had a tough time with D'Antoni. Remember he was benched for a bunch of games and didn't know why. It was when the guys being benched weren't being told why and the tabloids were covering the stories. I can't remember how he became a knick. I know there was speculation that his friendship could help with signing lbj and later after his issues with D'antoni it was speculated that it might be a reason for lbj to not sign in NY.
