Dude knows to not even whisper it.
I dont' hate Melo for what he said as its really no consequence what he says.
Its what he does and thats for July anyway.
But, the looming question is what becomes of Lebron?
1. Re-ups with Miami and rebuild around him.
2. Return to cleveland and win 3+ rings making him the King of Ohio?
3. Somehow drawn to the Mecca via the savvy Steve Mills in some fashion I can't fathom.
I think the incumbant (Miami) is always the safe bet but Lebron thinking legacy and with some bling in his pocket and "once an attention whore, always an attention whore" the lure completing of his ohio legacy has to be strong. Cav's have a great base of youth that can also be used to gain the veterans as they go along.
Lebron to NY? Yeah I can dig having the best player on the planet as the centerpiece of a starphuch. Lebron has to have a legitimate roster around him otherwise why put up with the media intensity that goes with anything less than a championship, or two?
Melo can opt out, and Lebron can opt in. Not saying thats gonna happen but Is steve mills here to keep Melo?
Start the Lebron to NY rumors!

Oh God, don't make me relive 2009-2010 again...
Knicks don't have the cap space to sign LeBron and keep Melo on the team at the same time. Amare isn't going to exercise his ETO.

Not saying that at all, and I can't imagine how it could happen.
In fact, what if the plan is to let Melo walk and let Lebron walk on in?

If your talking legacy that even if he replaces Melo he won't come to this.

Not sure what you meant but Lebron is better than Melo and Lebron helps the lack of guard play we have more than melo.
We got woodson on the hot seat with a new GM, Amare eating cap space and our most constant back court player is Felton.
I don't have the brain power to speculate on how Lebron or Melo fit other than our current roster. Bargnani was a suprise and I can see a good chemistry with Melo.
ALl I know is Lebron can opt out and that opens a window of opportuntiy. Mills is Savvy and totally in bed with CAA.
Hell, for all we know Lakers might not have one bit of interest in Melo. For all we know Buss family wants showtime and will build it to MDA's spec's!
Maybe Dolan can see an "Isiah'esque" type spending spree like Prokhorove just did??

lebron is staying in miami. legacy is the last thing on his mind when he "took his and his mom's services to south beach". he's a coward and i do not want him in NYC!

Ok, but the coward had the guts to shyt on his home town of Cleveland and win two rings with three trips to the finals and mostly on his back. He is still and for the next few years the best player on the planet.
We can find fault with every star. Durant is getting surly, is skinny and can't carry a team on his own. Kobe is aging out, dwight is immature, Melo is..............you get the picture.
So while Lebron has his own agenda at the end of the day took less money and made the finals two of the last three years. He has gotten better every year, and carried the Heat thru the finals.
Since we not growing our own in the Mecca, then if your gonna starphuch, then I'd pick the best.
BTW, I don't see it as a probability at all, just talking.
Cartman don't want lebron, thats cool. I mostly see Melo staying but there has to be a clear vision for the saavy Mr mills to show Melo who he can get to play with him. We have the highest paid front court in the NBA but our back court is a bit thin.
Lakers want Kevin Love? Westbrook?

Yaoo LOL wait a second I don't like Lebron either but would love for him to come to New York. I'll love him then

Why would we keep Melo? If he wants to stay he can take less money.

i guarantee lebron is moving after miami,
he'll always have a spot for leaving cavs and he can wash this betrayal away by moving from miami, too, so that he feigns a cool detachment,
eventually he will finish career with cavs,
and in between he will drop buckets and win chips in a BUNCH OF FLASHY CITIES,
AND I HAVE A FUNNY HUNCH NYC WILL BE ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
