It was noticeable every pre season game.
Amare was the only guy to score a few points down low. we had no big guy scoring we had no penetration scoring we dont have an athletic ballhandler.

No frontcourt depth. I mean bith KMart and Tyson are good defenders bt dont score too much and Amare is often injured. I mean thats why teams like the bulls and indy are too tough for us. We match up well against miami but in order to get to them we have to beat big defensive teams
Briggs this a jump shooting team what are you expecting. Amare is the only legit interior player the team has and you don't know when his tires are going to fall out.

Thats why I wanted to keep Tyler and Diogu--it was really quite simple and made a ton of sense. Those were the two offensive big men and we dumped them for Smith and Aldrich. Good start Mills!

I just can't understand why they would cut Tyler. Dude can hit the mid range shot and he can post up. He is exactly what we needed in a backup big.

Dolan should have loyalty to the fans first. Keeping Smith is an abomination and starst the season on a negative note--hard work + results should count. We saw Tyler EARN his spot in the pre season he should be rewarded by having a spot--exactly what does Chris Smith bring the Knicks???Nada.
A jump shooting team wont score much in the paint.
Who cares about the preseason. It's absolutely meaningless.

They'll be that way when the games count as well.
no surprise briggs, I pointed this out last year when we were last in the league in points in the paint... As did Barkley

games are meaningless,
the way team approaches games is how they're going to approach them in season--- not meaningless
Tyson should be good for about 11 PPG in the paint - more if teammates actually look for him.
Melo should take fewer mid range jumpers and more attempts in the paint.

Is Not what we expect its what we lack. Conversion that's all. It's a cause for concern going forward.
I think Bargs can do it. It sends like he's just a step slow. He's been away from the game cause of pneumonia. He just looks like his timing and everything is just off. Once he gets that down he will be ok. New system, New assignments...
Amare is going to be needed but he is horrible if he isn't trying to score. He can't even set a correct pick. He talks Alot but also blows assignments. Someone has got to get through to him that there is more to the game than scoring

The Amare signature move on defense came back last night. The point at the guy you should be guarding and yell at someone else to get him while that guy drives to the hoop for an open layup. He is a nice guy and I wish him well but his D is HORRIBLE. His post work still seems top notch. He just needs to stop losing the ball on his spin moves.
The team is clumsy. From front office to coaches to players

meanwhile across the east river they have assembled a very well-knit roster. prokhorov is not only a plutocrat who came from nothing but he is also a genius. the knicks are alienating a part of the fanbase and it is all traceable to this fool dolan. should be an interesting season here in the five boroughs....
The Garden does look great though even if it's coming down in 10yrw

There is going to be a lot of conversion going on. Nets have something serious going on. They ain't fooling around with people out of position no gimmicks. I got a good feeling we are going to be a championship soon.

I am watching the rockets now... Yikes, they look scary... they have added garcia, and caspi, nice players who fit what they are doing....
everyone knew we didn't score in the paint..heck I beat that point to death.... and when we don't adress those needs and get guys like bargs, I am told we needed a stretch 4.. go figure...

That wasn't the case last year.

Houston looks really good. Like championship good. I think they had Garcia last year. I remember him giving Durant a real hard time in the playoffs. Agree about Caspi. Also, Parson's is a star and fits really well with Harden and D12. I thought they might be making a mistake choosing Parsons over Chase but I was very wrong.
