meanwhile across the east river they have assembled a very well-knit roster. prokhorov is not only a plutocrat who came from nothing but he is also a genius. the knicks are alienating a part of the fanbase and it is all traceable to this fool dolan. should be an interesting season here in the five boroughs....
I am watching the rockets now... Yikes, they look scary... they have added garcia, and caspi, nice players who fit what they are doing....
everyone knew we didn't score in the paint..heck I beat that point to death.... and when we don't adress those needs and get guys like bargs, I am told we needed a stretch 4.. go figure...
Houston looks really good. Like championship good. I think they had Garcia last year. I remember him giving Durant a real hard time in the playoffs. Agree about Caspi. Also, Parson's is a star and fits really well with Harden and D12. I thought they might be making a mistake choosing Parsons over Chase but I was very wrong.

T. MURRAY is the guard who fits the bill, but he will watch from the bench.
His style of play would be so much better playing with (starter guys) who can cover up his weaknesses.
We can't have a guy in the post who will take away the ball handling of Melo, that's what Melo signed up for.

There's a few playerswho can do what yo want, but for a variety of reasons they haven't.
JR showed how effective he can be when he drives to the basket during that end of season win streak, but he's been out injured.
Melo can drive and score but hasn't, maybe because it's preseason and he's trying to get injured
Bargs can and has, I think- seems more content driving to the hoop and drawing fouls than he does shooting
Felton showed he can be effective driving to the hoop in the playoffs, but he's been injured off and on.
Metta can post once in a while, but he didn't really after the first game.
So we have guys who can do it, I just hope the actually start doing it once the season starts!
When you take away your PG's option to penetrate by calling Iso's and 3 ball, you basically turn yourself into a jump shooting team..
when was the last time you seen felton get the ball after a made or miss shot and take it end to end like he did under MDA.
Fools gold to think jump shots come easy in the 2nd half of games when your not as fresh as you were in the first half and the legs get a little heavier and teams make adjustments..look at how many 20 point leads we blew in the preseason, in fact we had the lead in everyone of our preseason games..But when team make adjustments, Woodson goes to ISO..Thats his counter attack..

JR was amazing during that stretch last year when he was driving to the hoop and drawing fouls. Not sure why he stopped/cut down on that. Hopefully it was related to the condition of his knee. I remember thinking when he was playing that way that the Knicks would lose him in free agency because they wouldn't be able to match the contract he would be offered.
