Players I wouldn't mind seeing us acquire somehow -- guys we could stash away at Erie and develop. I'd target bigs that can score inside and maybe a PG or two:
Marcus Cousin - Spurs had him and cut him the same day they cut Maggette. He's a solid, able big man we could get cheap & stash away in Erie for the time being. He's near 7' tall and he's very underrated offensively. Solid rebounder that plays hard..He'd compliment our existing frontcourt very well if one of our bigs ever went down...I think we could use another big or 2 that has the ability to score the ball on the interior. We're capped out and not in the position to acquire a more household name -- we really should be considering some cheaper alternatives.
BJ Young - Rockets had him and cut him back at the beginning of the month. Now he just signed on to play for their DL affiliate today I believe. 6'3" SG that has the tools to make the transition to the point eventually. Dude needs work in all areas but he's got potential. Lightning quick to the rim, he can shoot, score. Just to touch on Daryl Morey -- to me this guy's one of the top GMs in the league, if not the best. He's in on all the major acquisitions (Harden, Howard, overpaid but stole Linsanity away from the Knicks, etc.) and then he quietly stockpiles the best young talent he can get his hands on -- through the draft, undrafted players, DL players, Euros, etc. (watch Robert Covington, another very good undrafted rookie that has a chance to be a very good player--I think he just made the Rockets final 15-man roster). Morey has one of the better eyes for young talent I've see from any exec. out there -- he shows it year after year. Also shows a willingness to go out and sign these types of players to see if he was right all along (more often than not, he is). To me, if we could ever get this guy to run our team, it's a no brainer. I'd pay this guy whatever he wanted to be my GM and I'd give him full autonomy (Dolan should be keeping an eye on when this guy's contract is up). The way he's built this Rocket team is exactly how it should be done imho...Textbook...If you're a Rockets fan, how could you not be satisfied with the roster Morey's put together? Wow..
Seth Curry - I'd take a chance. The kid's not his brother but he's an excellent shooter in his own right. Could be lead guard material one day--does a lot of things well. I like his floor game a lot. Grab him now before GS gets him back to play for their DL affiliate (Santa Cruz). Santa Cruz supposedly has Jeremy Tyler's right now -- if anything, even if we don't really like Seth Curry, grab him now and use him to swap for Tyler's rights maybe. I'd keep him though and develop him as a PG.
Pierre Jackson - Thought he was on New Orleans but I see that he signed on to go play in France. Keep an eye on this guy. Beno and Pablo aren't gonna be around forever...Neither will Felton. We're gonna need to come up with solid PGs soon somehow.
Jeremy Pargo - I think this guy is everything you could possibly want in a young PG. Great handle, strong, good passer, very athletic (this guy gets to the rim at will and can throw monster dunks down on people -- and he's got the strength & hops to do it!), and he's a decent shooter. Can't for the life of me figure out why he can't stick in the NBA. He's light years a better player than his brother Jannero. The Knicks were interested in Bobby Brown at one point this off-season -- Jeremy Pargo's younger, stronger, more athletic and the better talent imo.
DeQuan Jones - 6'8" wing was just waived by Sacramento. Suberb athlete with excellent potential.
Derrick Byars - a capable fill-in in case anything ever happened to one of our wings.

Anyone even know who's on the Bayhawks' roster? Can't even check -- their website's down. Terrance Jennings I think, right? Who else are we working with down there?
