This guy is key for us to win...The problem is that he is inconsistent..If he plays like he did last night, this will be another successful season...I like how he gets into the lane and it seems like he is scoring those layups which he seems to miss a lot last year...I want to see the coach mix it up a bit with him...He brings the ball up and he also plays off the ball...I want to see Shump be more of a ball handler running the pick and roll...I'm not a big lover of Prigs...He is just too slow and not aggressive enough...Melo should also help out bringing up the ball...The key for Felton is to stay healthy and remain aggressive...His shot selection is key as well...I thought he shot more last year when guys went down...I love what he brings when he is on...Let's hope with his conditioning while remaining healthy, helps him to be more consistent...
i agree man. i absolutely forgot how FAST he is from coast to coast. hes a pitbull that darts STRAIGHT to the hole. with that said, i do appreciate priggs and the defense he brings. im not the biggest fan of his (more like i always forget hes on the team). but dude can ball
You have to be smart with this team because you got quite few good players who need to excel in a certain role. I'm not sure taking prigs out makes a lot of sense, while he is slow, he makes up for that with pesky defense, and it rubs off as we saw a lot of full court pressure last night from shump and ray..
I like the fast felton that doesn't wait for the defense to set up, the one that runs down the court after a made or miss shot and gets himself an easy layup. Melo brings the ball up too much, When he does that the offense gets super slow.
Yea Felton always starts the year with an extra gear but I think he gets tired later in the season. Doesn't penetrate as much, slower in trying to stay in front of his man and his jumpshot gets flat because he doesn't have his legs under him. That's what happened last year and the year under mda.
The key is to limit his minutes. With Pablo, udrih, Shump and THJ there is no reason for him to log big minutes every night. I hope Woodson sees this the same way he sees limiting the bigs minutes including tyson

I agree..I think he played 10 guys in the first half last night...
Someone mentioned this in the GameThread: I have no idea why Felton (and perhaps other PGs) try to thread-the-needle with passes in traffic to Chandler when he is going down the lane. Sometimes they are bounce passes, sometimes they are waist high. He ALWAYS misses them and yet it happens at least once or twice a game. Freakin give him a high pass where he can dunk or just don't do it. This is why IMHO Felton is a really really good backup on a ECF or Finals team.

I still liked listening to "And Felton goes to the rack and lays it in AGAIN!" Seems like he had 20 layups in the first half.
98.7 FM; comes in loud and clear on the mp3 player.

Felton gives this team a whole new dimension when he's running the break, and taking it to the hole strong and finishing. He plays like a bull and looks like an all star when he does it.
I agree with when you are saying that he tires as the season goes on and his numbers go way down. I hope we utilize our PG depth in order to keep him fresh.
I love Ray but why's he gotta say "I don't need no help" today regarding Rose? You know the media's gonna go back to Rose with that comment...Sure he needs help esp. with a hamstring issue. Come on, Ray...Why fuel any fire and give Rose any more motivation than normal? I never understood stuff like that...David Cone in the 88' pennant series against the Dodgers; Gerald Wilkins proclaiming himself "a Jordan stopper," etc. Please, nobody say anything that gets misconstrued and hung up on the friggin' bulletin board in the opposing locker room, OK....Thanks.. LOL.
Tyson
Melo
Artest
Shump
Felton
Shump on Rose
Anything else is stupid
And Knicks need to rebound clearly
Felton really knows how to beat up on players inferior to him, plain and simple. If he can slash or run the floor he looks great. No different than NC. He's big and strong and can take contract. He's also short and doesnt have a dribble he can break down his man with. So when he's running or guarded by an inferior player he's a beast. When he's up against a good team or good defensive guard enter the 1-7 shooting nights with 3 assists.
After watching him a few years Ive come to the conclusion he's not that good. Like Martin said.. a really nice backup on an elite team. But as a starter he will make you nuts because he's got great nights.
He cant break down his defender, get in the paint and break down a D and run a team in the half court. It was the knock on his coming out of college ands still true.
Why do you think Woody plays two PGs? If he benches Felton hes useless (see Portland). He's got to get a lot of floor burn to be effective. He's a good defender (not great) and plays hard, but he's just not a great PG, and really sucks in the half court. Of all the positions PG needs the most.
Prigo is good but old as hell and if Woodson continues to lean on him like last night he's gonna play him into the ground.
Jeremy Lin would look pretty good right now

I don't know about that..I remember him destroying Miami without Melo...Had a good game against the Clippers as well...He was MVP against Boston in the playoffs...People said last year that he only got up for big players because of a chip on his should and now u are saying he doesn't play well good teams..hmmmmmm..
Felton is who he always has been- an average PG who has good games and bad games. I like him, but that's what he is. Same with JR, yet every season we fool ourselves when they have great games!

That's harsh..Please let me be and let me believe!!!

He needs to watch film on how Tyson likes it during the Linsanity days. Tyson received the ball waist high or higher.

He fumbled it back then too. He fumbled it with Chris Paul. He fumbled it back when Felton played with him in Charlotte. Tyson is an above shoulder receiver. Felton has worked with Tyson for a while now I think he knows his comfort zone but he still has to make those passed in order for the offense to work.

I just don't want Felton to get hurt again because before the injury he was playing pretty good.
