Knicks · Carmelo Attempted Only 16 Shots and Had A Double Double (page 1)

SFX: crickets

Despite being good and terrible from three (3/13) we shot 50 per cent from the field.

Clean up the turnovers as players get acquainted. You want a ten man rotation, you need more time to get in sync.

Melo had a beautiful jumper pass to a wide open Shumpert. It didn't go down but gave me a small glimpse of what Melo could be if he fixes the weakest part of his offensive game.

holfresh - it could also be a deliberate attempt to trust his new running buddies more.

We are a work in progress, with I Man Shumpert making the best use of JR Smith's minutes on the down low.

he also passed to a wide open Felton in the 4th. Felton launched a total brick.

When has players who hit shots the ball moves. Is Melo's lack of confidence in his teammates a flaw or a product of reality? (which is they arent that good)

I know, and I get that..But u need your scorer on so he is in rhythm when u need him...But u have to get the ball to others so they can build confidence in their game...I just hope he isn't listening to the dudes shot counting...He needs quality shots just not quantity...Melo would be a better player once Bargs shots start falling...

3-13 from three and 21 turnovers

holfresh - Bargs will be a better player when Bargs shot starts falling. Bargnani has a silver opportunity to become a crowd favorite. So far, Shumpert is picking up some responsibility for being Mr Big Shot.

Bargs has been playing this way for the last 2 yrs, what gives you any confidence that he will turn it up. If MDA was coaching i would have more faith in Bargs

Bargs hasn't gotten serious burn in over two years..He is soft and feeling his way...I remember a time when he took it to the Knicks..I'm wondering where is that player now..It takes time and gaining confidence...He is adjusting his shots...He didn't do too many head fakes last game...He just caught and shot the ball...That's what we need from him when Melo is on the floor...We have time, playoffs are in May...

Melo tried this last season, the problem is the more players start bricking the open shots, the less he passes and the more shots he starts to take himself. Can he keep this up? I'm not sure.
misterearl @ 10/31/2013 3:28 PM
Which Came First, The Assist or the Forced Shot?

smackeddog - Mike Woodson has the task of making ten men work as one. When Toure Murry is wearing a suit, JR is on temporary leave and Amare is chillin like a villain, that may be an indication that our depth is a curse.

Our guards hafta figure it out.

you literally live every single day hating Carmelo don't you? You wake up hating him. Go to bed hating him. Eat breakfast hating him. Go to the gym and lift weights hating him. I imagine your house looking like the inside of Ray Finkle's bedroom from Ace Ventura, except instead of Dan Marino its Melo pictures everywhere.

I think tkf finally broke down and bought a Gallo jersey just before he was traded then decided to replace it with a Lin jersey...I'll be bitter too...

yes, because you ruin every discussion with your incessant babbling and borderline obsessive hatred of a man you dont know at all. Hell, you ruin entire BOARDS with your whining. I bet you root for the Knicks to lose every single night and you suck your teeth whenever Melo hits a big shot for us.

What I don't get is he says it's one game here, then on the other thread says it's going to be a long average season based on... One game.

The cool part is that despite all the celebrated flaws, 21 turnovers, Bargnani bricking out the joint and blowing a huge lead, our beloved Knicks still found a way to make big shots late in the fourth quarter, with Carmelo as the leading rebounder.

Will Amare Stoudemire look cute in orange?

Knowing Amare and his love for fashion, he's asking himself that same question.
