Last season we came out the gate ready to shock the world. Is the leadership of Kidd and Sheed, KT sorely missed?
I see Metta world peace coaching harder than woodson. I see him arguing the play with woodson during time outs. I see Metta pulling everyone to the side on breaks. I see him bullying opposing players to get his teammates pumped up.
Are we in trouble? Not right now. The Knicks need jr smiths talent back. They also need to see what they can get in the trade market. This Knicks team looks good but only after they are dragged through the coals for 3 quarters.
I see woodson calling isolation for Melo whenever we need a bucket. I see guys going one on one when plays mess up. Team is poorly prepared. I don't think woodson has a handle on the talent
This piss poor start is all on Woody. Lack of preparation, careless mistakes, lack of focus, poorly run sets, no sense of urgency at the start of games...
Experimenting with lineups doesn't help for chemistry issues.
All on Mike Woodson...AKA soon to be dead man walking.
Unless you are bringing in Popovich you are not winning with this clumsier than ever roster. Complete clusterfuck. Can't say I'm surprised
This team will make the playoffs for 2yrs then Woodson will get canned as we start over
If we won last nite, would we be discussing?
We are one game below .500 with 79 more games to turn it around!!!!

Why do we have to have one of the greatest coach to ever live in order to win? Lol
Lionel Hollins is out there. That guy would be a great fit here.
the guy we should be going after is STAN van gundy. give him whatever he wants to come here and let him put his stamp on the franchise. if he wants to keep melo and thinks he can coach melo, then do that.
if he doesn't want melo then i'd have no problem going into 2015 armed with capspace with him as our coach and tailoring a team to what he wants. i think that's a great plan.

Stan is a very gid coach. He coaches according to the trajectory he had and that's what we need

It's easier to bring in a single coach (hopefully the best ever) than to change an entire roster built on selling tickets and not winning games.

It's not the record, it's the how. Playing very sloppy, unfocused, undisciplined. Especially compared to last year.
Even in the victory against Milwaukee, you would need more than 2 sets of hands and feet to count the miscues and mistakes they made during the game.
If I'm not mistaken, we went from leading the league to turnover margin to leading in turnover margin.
The mix matching of lineups certainly doesn't help. Go with one lineup for an extended amount of time, and shorten the rotation to 8-9 guys. Either that or go full deep 10+ and commit to team ball.
Woodson seems just as confused as the players do.
Can't wait for JR to get back to further muck it up!
Yeah it's early but he really seems like he has no idea about how to allocate mins and we are still seeing the same PnR or the iso Melo BS as last year. Maybe they can take some more 3s, I'm sure that'll fix it.
Start Artest already...
Our last year coach is working in Broolyn.
Woody is one trick pony and his main skill is ass-kissing the right way.
He used it on Melo, on JR, on Mills, on Dolan... and it works.
As Pop is great in bbal Woody is great in ass-ball.
I knew he was absolutely clueless in preseason. Nothing we worked on in preseason was in preparation for the regular season, the line ups, defensive sets, offensive system, rotations, even the actual camp invites who never had a shot even though they desrved it..

I think so. Some were still a little upset with the blown lead against the Bucks and we won that game.
Got to give Minny credit. I know its kind of hard but they have a nice team.
I thought we played Chicago well, and we won our first game.
I don't see the panic.

SVG may be the only coach on the market I'd dump Woody for immediately...unless, of course, we could convince Jeff to come back. I'm not ready to blow up the coaching staff yet though. There does appear to be some significant chemistry issues on the floor, coupled with lazy passing. 1-2, with 79 more to go. We've got some time.

see i agree with this statement. ill root for my team and hope for the best but this team is flawed...too many one-way players. our season hopes was based on bargnani being the 20ppg scorer he was in toronto and artest. were a nice lil team that will win 45 games and be bounced in the 1st/2nd rd for the next 2 yrs. i cant wait til 2015, when we can get rid of these ridiculous contracts and rebuild/invest in solid players

Based on that Minny game and everytime we face him, I'd give K Love Melo's money instead!
30-30's like you read about. Literally...
I miss when Woody coached defense (or at least when the team was playing it) and play calling outside ISO's.
We could be such a better team if Woody uses Melo to create more. But he has to draw it up, take advantage of it.
