http://www.postingandtoasting.com/2013/1...He's still free to sign with any NBA team, but it's nice to know that at least he'll be rehabbing and eventually find his way back on the court soon for our DL affiliate, under our supervision. He's only a quick cut of the useless Chris Smith away from signing with the Knicks anyway...Bayhawks also have Terrence Jennings, the Louisville F who played well for our SL team and 6'6" G/F Doug Anderson, a tremendous athlete that went undrafted from the University of Detroit on their roster....Santa Cruz signed Seth Curry -- very interested to see how he develops from here on in.
Saw that. Nice. Also, the Knicksjournal site that they got the scoop from is awesome.
Ian Begley @IanBegley now
#Knicks camp invites C.J. Leslie & Justin Brownlee are also on the Erie Bayhawks' roster. As are Terrence Jennings, Mike Moore & C.J. Aiken
Corey Brewer started for the Timberwolves last night
we cut him
Is he better than Chris Smith?

No, but his last contract was I think pretty high for a back up player. Yeah, Melo was our small forward!
Good piece of news- the plan is to rehab for another month, then play him a few games in d league before re-signing him.

We like to think of it as Finally Cutting Chris Smith.

+million
Exactly...+billion!!!
What further irks me about this whole thing is Chris Smith running around telling people that he earned a spot and deserved what he got. You guys remember him saying that after the final cuts we in? LMAO...Come on, Chris....That's delusional with a capital D. Just pipe down and count the 400k you made in silence...
Having said all that -- On JR Smith--I've been the most outspoken about him in the past with all the nonsense he's pulled -- but man, do we need this guy or what? Specifically what we miss from JR is the clear cut legit 2nd option on offense -- a guy that's gonna say 'gimmie the damn ball--I'm taking this shot.' Man do we miss that...I wish Bargnani had that type of attitude. Bargs played pretty well last game though -- hope he continues to build on it. Maybe some of you guys are right -- I've always wanted the Chandler/Melo/Bargnani frountcourt to start but maybe Bargs needs to be the 5-man on that 2nd unit, flanked by either Amar'e or K-Mart. Maybe he performs better there...Might be a better fit. We'll see how this goes..
