NBA basketball has changed in the past 3years and the players are faster more physical and play at a high level on both ends of the court. They can handle LeBron. They make us the Knicks a step slower. The best comparison we can make is Shump. But he is not quite like Philly, Houston, Charlotte, LAC and lots of west coast teams. Some may not be great shooters but they can defend and great on fast breaks and they can drive to the basket. You know who they are and they are killing the knicks.

I think there are ebbs and flows to the concentration of positional talent. Its no surprise that all the guys you mentioned are PG's. Is their level of talent or play any different from the days of Jason Kidd, Kevin Johnson, Gary Payton, John Stockton and the like? I don't think so. We just so happen to be in a period where much of the talent in the league is at the PG position. Fortunately for us, that is a surefire way of guaranteeing quality basketball, since PG's are essential to dictating the quality of a game.
NardDog - you raise an excellent point.
We have plenty of guards. None, other than Prigioni, are floor managers.
