AB has been in there at center before when Tyson was playing. It's just that they're actually giving him more touches tonight.
good point nix, but why is that happening?
Less ISO melo I would guess. I have only seen it once this half.
so much for bargs defensive weakness. 4 blocks. damn.

My two cents is that Woodson gave him the green light to shoot his way out of this slump, and Melo made it a point to defer the lead role to bargs for this game to help him get his confidence. my guess anyway.

Shots are falling. I bet we would all be surprise how less iso they have run this year.

i think it's because of playa's point. the other team's center has to guard bargs. teams with centers that lack mobility to defend him will have to find a way to exploit any defensive weaknesses he has on the other end of the court or get him in foul trouble. it will be about matchups.
but that is a testament to bargs skill, and does raise questions about if we can do as well with he and tyson in the lineup.
There are no Centers that can stay with Bargnani. He makes Noah look bad too. It's up to the coaching and our PG to put Bargs in good spots to take advantage of his skills.

Blocks does not mean your good defensively, the same goes for steals. They are only 1 part of the whole pie that is defense.

Bargs is playing with a ton of effort and aggressiveness. It shows and the blocks are a part of it.

Are you watching this game? Bargs has been very active and is most definitely playing good defense. Sure there are some bad plays, but overall he's been good.

yet it is better to get that part of the pie than none

Melo has to keep this style of play fresh from game to game, he's the straw that stirs the drink for the knicks. He called the meeting and probably told his teammates that he's gonna trust them and keep the ball moving like he did early in the season last yr. He is the "VOICE' instead of Jason Kidd now.
However Melo plays , the rest of the team follows suit. I might stop blaming Woody and blame Melo, he set the meeting , he changed his style of play and effort and his teammates stepped up.
It's a players league fo- sho
This might just be the post of the year ^

You're right it's part of the picture, and he is doing that part very well, chasing down smaller faster players. His perimeter d is also good. Bargs has to become a better post defender, if he does we'll be in good shape.

I never said he was not playing god D. I am responding to what he said. The only thing he mentioned is blocks. I never gave an opinion on Bargs.

He is actually a pretty good post defender. I like his hedges so far this season but his rotations has been poor at times.
good things happen when Pablo starts.
We need some garbage time so we can see Murry and Cole play.

EXACTLY!
BTW I just noticed we just had a good 3rd quarter, this does not happen much.
