Knicks · Dolan guarantees win versus Atlanta (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 11/11/2013 1:17 AM
The way he phrased it--sounds like a man who has been drinking? Read it--he doesnt call it hius basketball team--he call it his basketball.....

I wouldnt bet my bottom dollar on the next game--it will be rough--Atlanta's strengths are inside with 2 20-10 guys with a quick scoring PG--three deadly problems for our team.

Dagger @ 11/11/2013 2:42 AM
He guaranteed it because if they don't win that game heads will roll. He may not have power over the actual outcome but he does have control over the staff.
JamesKPolk @ 11/11/2013 3:01 AM
Dolan went from aspiring to win championships to guaranteeing regular season wins versus Atlanta in a matter of 2 weeks.

Classic Dolan foolishness.

My guess is, when we lose the Atlanta game, Dolan fires Woody

Funny you should mention it, I've been wondering lately if Dolan was on something, no joke. The last few years (for the most part) Dolan has stayed in the shadows. Then after our best season this century, Dolan cleans house and brings back Mills again. Appears to be the actions of someone seriously f'ed up on something.

Yup, then everyone will see it isnt just a coaching issue.
JesseDark @ 11/11/2013 7:36 AM
The way it eads sounds like idle banter with the audience. I wouldn't put much stock into this guarntee.

we should really edit the title to Dolan Guarantees Win Vs. Atlanta/ The Official Mike Woodson Countdown thread!

Nalod @ 11/11/2013 7:43 AM
JD and the StraightSHot are opening for the Eagles. They are actually pretty good.

Woody's Last Stand

This guarantee gives us a reason to watch because the products on the hardwoods sure have not provided anything worth following.

Is Woody pushing the pimple to a head?

Will losing in a guarantee game put Woody out of his misery? Maybe that's the plan.

If the locker room truly is lost, then they will not find themselves for one game so that Woody's guarantee would be honored.

Quite the retirement from the board, huh?

I am guilty of over rating this team. I still would like to see how it works with Melo at PF and bargs in unit 2--Woodson is simply not allowing it to happen. We need a rebounding C so lets let Cole start with Melo--and Let Bargs play with unit two as the main guy. Its not a bad team like we saw yesterday--but its pretty easy to see its not a championship team--or even close. I do NOT believe we have the assets to improve--and I think the chemistry is so bad right now--that we need internal improvement before an external movement(if one can even be done) At the end of the day we have to look hard at this team after 20 games--a serious look and we need decisions on the future of this Melo led team--he could put us in jeopardy by walking for nothing off a sht team or perhaps worse--we make a worse decision we made when we signed Amare and H2O to massive 5 year contracts with a player in his 30 with a LONG road behind him.

Simply amazing that this man starts guaranteeing winning games with a 2-4 record. As the owner, it is your right to hire and fire whom you choose, but be a man about it. How long can these guarantees go on? The next 76 games? Please, spare us.

Dolan has a history of substance Abuse, so what can be worse than the one who owns the purse strings to be battling going to rehab and running a multi million dollar NBA Franchise.

Reminds me of the owner who use to own the Charlotte Hornets, no accountability.

Dolan is here already, posting as Papa????

yup

RonRon @ 11/11/2013 8:40 PM
think about it, Papa _ _ _ _

has been on Melo's D!#% up until, "he don't think he is worth a max contract", it makes sense, as they both are arrogant and ridiculously CLUELESS

knicks1248 @ 11/11/2013 8:49 PM
The Knicks were definitely not happy with the line of line of questioning about Dolan's meeting with Woodson or his guarantee, even though the boss made his comments in a public venue and knew that a couple of reporters were in attendance. After Woodson was allowed to give the media all of four minutes and 25 seconds of interview time, a Knicks PR official told reporters, "Now get the (bleep) out.''

Woodsons done, you can't focus with that type a shhht going on..somebody watching your every word, having no say in your roster moves, being told who to play, no real leader on your roster, the owner in your ear..

You can see it in the players, these dudes aren't focus, too much distractions.

Now there telling reporters to get the fck out, like NY FANS wouldn't ask the same questions..There only asking what most fans already suspect, they just want you to come out and say it..Be a Man

His band is very good musically. I don't know how he gets to play with them. Seems like maybe he is the guy with the insturnments or cash so he is allowed to be in the band.
