He's also old and not really that good of a shooter. But that's what you get for $4M a year.
No one really talks about it too much but in classic Knicks fashion we overpaid for Felton. Coming off a horrible stretch in Denver and then Portland no one was rushing to sign him.
Of course we give him 3 years with a PLAYER option for a fourth. I'm pretty sure we had all the leverage and could have gotten him to sign for less years and money and a team option. sigh.
Felton is streaky. Its not a month into the season and he's already lost a step. Ray should be coming off the bench, but unless Murry cracks the rotation and goes on a tear, this is what we'll be seeing.
yeah man. Felton is what he is.
It's not his fault the Knicks are relying on him to be a starting caliber PG in a league full of: Westbrook, Rose, Rondo, CP3, Jrue Holliday, Teague, Lawson, etc. Felton's either one of the bottom 4 starting PGs in the league or one of the best backups.
We were supposed to dominate with the Amare that reeled off all those consecutive 30 pt games, the Melo that dominated in stretches last season and the Chandler who struck fear into Miami in the Finals.
Took a shot. Didn't work out. Nothing to really do about it except...
resign Melo to the max and try again

This is such a lost cause that I am close to giving up on this team. It will never change as long as melo is here. The only thing that will change is we will be paying him 30mil+ for the privilege of watching this crap.
So the Knicks answer to all of this is to trade the one guy on the team who actually plays defense?

dude. this is the question i ask every time a game is close and we go IsoMelo 3 possessions in a row.
the dude is a nasty scorer. he should be shooting the ball a lot. but can we come up with some ways to get him better looks?! PLEASE
We're not even trying to get good shots. It's just dribbling up the court and chucking a 3.

The one easy way is to set a lot more picks for him but no one seems to want to do that like he will be insulted. All he needs is a little daylight.
Melos stopping the ball more than usual though
Woody took out Tim after 1 bad shot. Woody Keeps Melo in after about 10 bad shots.
