the problem I have with all the predictions for the NETS is this. kG and PP have been on a steady decline over the last 2 seasons, KG was pretty bad all last season when the celtics got off to a horrible start with rondo, it was the emergence of Jeff Green that made that team respectable after rondo went down.
JJ is slightly above avg, and Dwill plays hard 50% of the time, lopez is soft, real soft. In a league where the 3 ball is absolutely key, they don't have one player coming off the bench that can remotely shoot a 3 with any consistency.
It wasn't Grunwald, or woody, or melo, or tyson that got kidd to play for the knicks last season, IT was KIDDS closes friend D Will. The opportunity to be part of the NETS organization was already lighty talk about...Go figure
Aside from all of this, you have a rookie coach, and a bad assitant coach who's only success was with the nets and kidd in his super prime era.
And finally, both the nets and celtics had poor performances in the playoffs mostly from the guys that they decided to put together...none of the starters will make a sacrifice to come off the bench to make the roster more balance.
I'm not picking on the Nets because were 1 game ahead of them, I'm pointing out what I saw the day of the trade, and I kept finding it hard to believe that people made these predictions base on Names not skills

If it is, Deron should make it his mission to get everyone else going and sacrifice some touches. I doubt this is sustainable with his injury problems anyway, and I'm guessing its going to PO Garnett/Pierce eventually. No matter what happens, I'm guessing its a matter of time before Pierce and Garnett remind teammates who has a ring, and who doesn't.
Deron was passing, but the if you notice the box score, you will see a low shooting % from everybody else on the roster because they were primarily shooting jumpers. they could not keep up with the younger faster kings, who were left open time after time for wide open 3's. with the speedy isiah thomas, marcus thorton, and the other guards, no one could stay in front, or keep up with them when the ball swung around the perimeter.
The NETS were build for playoff basketball, somehow the russian forgot the 82 games prior to the playoffs..
It's almost like what the knicks did last off season, they built a team to beat MIAMI but forgot about the BULLs and INDI..You called that Tunnel Vision
It's cleat a chemistry issue they have to figure out. You can't tell me they are old 7 games in. Even 40yr old Kidd was great early on last year
It looks like the Nets may have pulled a class knicks...
trading draft picks, taking on older former stars who have CLEARLY peaked
Paul Pierce, KG = Steve Francis, Penny Hardaway, Antonio McDyess, Allan Houston..Carmelo Anthony? (who is still good..but is he getting any better or adding wrinkles to his game?)

They have a jump shooting slow ass team like we do, what do you expect..They don't have one single athletic player on the starting unit.
