the hack a Howard fail:
melo nor woody seems to have known the nba rule that if you foul a player away from the ball under 2 minutes it's a technical foul that can be shot from anyone from the opposing team AND they get possession.
i can understand melo not knowing cuz he's not the sharpest tool in the shed but it was probably woody who told him to foul. SHEER STUPIDITY FROM THE TOP DOWN.

I agree, Woodson is to blame. The same miscommunication that cost us seconds when guys were standing around instead of slapping harden the second he touched the ball. Woodson is just a weak coach. I'm not just going to say he's weak in this area because he's poor overall, just pretty shitty at everything except temporarily motivating idiots like JR to put down the flask and play ball for a minute.
It's also funny to me how guys fail at missing free throws, Wade screwed it up and Melo screwed it up last night. You shoot it straight and hard off the backboard, you don't have to make it close...I get that they shoot free throws with mechanics they practice over and over again, but is it that hard to deviate from them? If they need someone to miss a FT I'd more than happily do it
.
that was infuriating and there is no way to defend that

wasn't woody telling Felton to NOT foul when under 2 minutes? it's in all the articles this morning.
Why Blame Woody?

i find that hard to believe. wouldn't Woody be telling that to all his players and not just felton? that's just common sense. because melo clearly didn't know that rule.
Just watched Inside The Nba. Melo said that Woody told Felton not to foul but it did not register with him and said it was a bonehead move on his part.

dude, it's a rule that's been in the books, players should know this.

“A bonehead play on my behalf," Anthony said.He said that Mike Woodson had yelled at Raymond Felton to tell the Knicks not to foul. But Anthony didn’t hear Felton relay the message.
It's also loud at MSG, especially at end of game, sometimes coach can only scream at whomever is close.

ok then melo's a bonehead; nothing new. and you know what woody will never get on melo for this cuz the inmates run the asylum in the nba.
