Talent is one thing. maturity and professionalism are not an option, they are mandatory. As a lifelong Knicks supporter and borderline fanatic, The Answer Man proclaims, "enough is enough."
If any player cannot get with the Bill Bradley commandments of locker room behavior, respectful dialogue and team-oriented discipline, whoever violates those rules, gotta go.
No more middle school texting battles, juvenile booty shots, drug violations or showing up less than ten minutes early. No more individual attention for stupid ish. and annudder thing, no more playground blinders solo play either. Enough. We don't support it.
Even Shump thought better of his high top fade. He knew it was calling attention to himself, over the team.
Would Mark Jackson put up with any player not conforming to team rules, or threatening someone on twitter? Hell to the no.
I will gladly suffer the growing pains of some young men who show the personality traits of Steph Curry, Tim Duncan, Clyde Frazier or Willis freakin Reed.
The Smith Brothers, Stoudemire, KMart and even Ray Felton. Can take a hike.
I want a new group that plays together.
Just what did Amare, Kmart and Felton do?
Amare is done. kMart is taking up a spot a young flyer could use and Raymond Felton is not leading anything.
Change it.

Amare got fined for calling a fan a fag and telling him eff you on twitter. He got another fine for something else on twitter as well. NBA isn't taking it too hard though since he's in every ad. KMart didn't do anything but play hard. Felton complains ALL game. Even when I think he deserves a call, I get mad watching him trot up the court waving his hands and head around. That's my take on that.
Answer Man, I'm with you. There are a lot of clowns on this team posing as basketball players right now. Maybe that's what New York does to these young men.
This is not about wins and losses. It is about how our players garner respect when they are not playing basketball.
This is about wearing a jersey with New York on he front and being respected, making us proud... not embarrassing yourself, and the uni, with regularity.
JR was just fined 25 large by the NBA for his twittèr beef with Brandon Jennings.
You cannot be serious.
Clyde never complained. Never

same, i hate it.
You can play with passion without being a crybaby.
The artificial hype of The Garden creates inflated egos.
Want to impress someone?
Cut out the preening during player introductions. Slow starts are the result of realizing too late that the other team could care less about your video tributes, spotlights and dance team.
Save that stuff for the ECF.

so, as i asked once before not too long ago, maybe 3 weeks-- you are saying you don't think the knicks can win a title this season?
Playoffs? Don't talk to The Answer Man About Playoffs

Dk7th - kvetching about winning a title in November is a game for chumps. Implicit in the fact the NBA season is a marathon, any NBA roster with championship aspirations must first survive the death march of the regular season... and then start the first round.
Our brand new band of mismatched brothers have miles to go before they are playing playoff-calibre basketball, let alone championship basketball. Not unlike Phil Jackson giving each of his players a personally-selected book to read, this crazed thread is simply an initial suggestion in the process of becoming a team.

+1 for the Answer Man. Phck those guys.
Hey earl where you have been?
The fish is spoiled form the head.
When idiot run the show it will not be anything else but the show of idiots.
How can we call out players after what we see with owner, GM, and coach?
As soon as some good people are accidentally getting attached to this team they are promptly eliminated but scrubs and bastards persist forever.
This is a sad day. When one of the most loyal poster to the Knicks starts to call his team that he roots for out.

One thing I noticed about Melo in the postseason last year was he was not complaining, not boasting, just working hard. Maybe it was because they were eating a big slice of humble pie after that "wearing black for the funeral" BS. Remember that ish? You guys notice that even Pablo has started doing that complaining too? How have these guys not figured out yet that a professional player should NEVER expect the call? Do they realize how much they look like crybabies? Don't they realize the refs are men and much think they are so fragile to do that all game? I do complain about no-calls at times during the games, but when I think like the refs, I might not give those guys that complain to me all game the calls later either.
I can't stand those intros when I'm at the games earl. For real. They bring that damn banner down and send off some dumbarse flares and that t-shirt cannon garbage. Those celebrations are half-arsed showmanship, not winning basketball.

Where are the Oakley's , STARKS, MASON's, H. Davis, A. Houston's LJ's
We need guys who take their profession seriously.
But then again they had a coach who's the owner had his back.

You mean Oak, who slapped people during games, Starks head butted players, and Mase???..They didn't play in the age of social media, camera phones, twitter and drug testing..
pretty sure those guys wouldn't get into twitter battles if it was around back then.
...ok, maybe starks would
Dude, its all around the franchise.
When your owner punishes your headcase sixth man with a big contract and another contract to your sucky brother, while rewarding a young and exciting player with a place in the trading block, all while letting go the man who got together the team that took us to the conference semis for a man linked to the Isiah years, you can't expect less.
We are back to being turmoil sucky team again. No hope around.
I really wonder what is the point of being a Knicks fan...
Apparently Woodson is meeting with amare tomorrow. The premise is to help amare be more effective. The desired outcome maybe to get amare to retire. Also, an article about he's shenanigans mentioned that Chris is slated to go to the d league on 11/22. I believe that is when the d league starts. If Chris is waived it creates a space for Tyler. If he is just sent down, the Knicks can't bring up a player.

are you singing the same tune as me now on felton? chocolate boy felton or fatboy felton.... which do you prefer?
