Knicks · I say play amare 25-30 min a night (page 1)

we should realy end this chapter with amare, the best thing that could happen this season is amare to retire!

if he is playing good solid minutes off the bench like last season and dont get hurt - the knicks will be a good team.

if he gets hurt he should retire and help the knicks get a real superstar to play next to mello.

Look Amare wants to play then play him 30 min a game and if he breaks down yes he should retire.

Do you want to lose every game by 30?

If plays the way he played when he first came here then great. But if he is playing bad for 30 min with 10 turnovers then pull him and just pay him his money and let him go. Dolan has the money.

Amare is not going to work with the personal we have even at 100%.
He need PG, offensive coach, cover him on defense, and help him to rebound the ball.
Knicks have none of this so Amare is useless regardless.

Has amare even had one of his signature rim rocking dunks this year? I don't remember seeing one but I have seen him have his shot blocked a lot or the ball slapped away from him. I have to wonder if that surgery he had over the summer finally defeated him mentally or physically. Last spring in the playoffs he looked a lot better then he has so far this year.

Who will make the plays for Amare to get him this dunk - Melo? JR? One leg Felton?

I belive amare is done... he is one of the worst defenders in the laegue .. no rebounds... no tough guy.. much less athletic

the reason the knicks keep him is politics ... they payed him 100 M

with that said if he plays 30-25 min a night... I belive there is a small chance he plays well(take us nowhere).. and I belive there is a HUGE chance he gets hurt and retire

he will fake an injury if he plays bad.

Stop the minutes restriction we're-saving-him-for-the-playoffs BS. Stat is not a role player. He's never been one, and it's too late in life to learn how to be one now. When the playoffs roll around, he'll be just as useless as he is now. Fresh crap is still just as usefull as stale, worn out crap.

He's playing like garbage, and the only way to end it is to ride him like Dantoni did and put the horse out to pasture. With Tyson out, it's the perfect time to do this.

It's not like Cole Alrich is going to be getting quality minutes.
