Knicks · Paul George flop? (page 1)

Mray20 @ 11/21/2013 12:29 AM
I know Shump tapped him on the elbow but Paul George flails his arms back like he got hammered but gets rewarded with 3 free throws, now will the NBA consider this a flop? I doubt it
NumberTwoPencil @ 11/21/2013 12:35 AM
I watched that game. Paul George did get hammered here and there. Regardless of the Shump call.
Mray20 @ 11/21/2013 12:41 AM
I'm sure he got fouled here and there but this was a flop in my opinion and he's now getting calls that Durant gets as for Melo he doesn't get that same treatment and it's damn obvious
NumberTwoPencil @ 11/21/2013 12:42 AM
I don't see the flop but I'm not sure it mattered, in the end.
Mray20 @ 11/21/2013 12:44 AM
You're telling me that's a natrual motion he's doing with his arm when Shump barely touched him? No way Kobe has mastered tha flail/flop it's not a natural motion or reaction to getting fouled
markvmc @ 11/21/2013 12:44 AM
Meh. Ref calls it upon contact, before the exaggeration. We're not 3-8 because of refs.
NumberTwoPencil @ 11/21/2013 12:47 AM
"Meh"

I agree, the refs aren't beating the Knicks.

yellowboy90 @ 11/21/2013 5:27 AM
He flopped on that Melo charge in the first half.
smackeddog @ 11/21/2013 5:29 AM
He tried flopping again on Melo's last shot in regulation. That whistle on the three came late.

Not to blame it on the ref because Shumpert did hit him, but it wasn't called on contact,it was called late as hell.

newyorknewyork @ 11/21/2013 5:57 AM
Also no it wasn't a flop but yes the ref made the call because he flailed his arm.
dk7th @ 11/21/2013 8:39 AM
you guys are too desperate. never foul a jumpshooter and that includes touching the elbow.
nyk4ever @ 11/21/2013 8:45 AM
how about fouling him before he even shoots the ball? send him to the line to make two ft's.
gunsnewing @ 11/21/2013 8:50 AM

Yea doesn't take much to throw your shot off when you get him on the elbow. Hence why the shot was way off line

A foul is any contact that obstructs the offensive players ability to shoot. The force of the foul is irrelevant. This seems to be the misunderstanding

Woodson will never have them foul. How many games have we lost in OT for this very reason.

SlimChin @ 11/21/2013 9:04 AM
it's amazing how the knicks don't get the calls in their home court. you know they're not blowing that whistle in indiana.
sealy @ 11/21/2013 9:10 AM
How bout the drive where it should've been an and 1 for Melo against Hibbert. Hibbert comes down on Melo and we still are subject to listen to the verticality BS. It has become one I my least favorite words.

Melo really does not get calls. End of regulation isn't a foul on George!?!?

Honestly I cannot take anymore of that 'straight up' BULLSH*T! Aside from the fact the starting resurrecting that call in the playoffs just to make him look better, he didn't even go straight up on that play, he jumped backwards!

all the analysts were saying the same thing; even though he was bumped he should've finished the shot but lost his concentration. i agree.

Swishfm3 @ 11/21/2013 10:51 AM
Not only was the whistle late but the official that called the foul was not in the proper position to even call it!! lol...gotta love it.
knicks1248 @ 11/21/2013 11:10 AM
Melo doesn't get calls cause he's too aggressive. The refs look at tape just like the coaches, if your constantly looking to draw contact, your taking all the shots going 1 on 2 or 1 on 3, intiateting the contact, there not going to give you the benefit.

How many times (and be honest) that we see melo use his arm to shove players to get a little extra room, he does that all too often and while sometimes the refs don't see it, when they look at tape before the game they do.

Melo plays selfish sometimes and thats why he doesn't get calls like KD, LBJ, KOBE. when you play selfish it means you don't respect the the game or your teammates.

You watch paul G last night or any night, and he never forces the issue, he plays with in the flow of the game and thats why he's more likely to get a call then melo
