Knicks · Beno Udrih What's the pronounciation? (page 1)

gunsnewing @ 11/23/2013 10:06 AM
Can one of the well compensated announcers get to the bottom of this? I'm listening to the radio broadcast. Spero and Daughtry keep saying beno oodrah, Brown is saying Beano Youdrick

I'm going with Beno Udrih(Beano-Oo-d-ric) hell with them until someone tells me otherwise. How hard is it to ask him for the correct pronounciation during and telecast?

Vmart @ 11/23/2013 10:08 AM
I always thought it was Ben-oh.
knicks1248 @ 11/23/2013 10:11 AM
Why hasn't he ben-ooh.... playing..lol...
Dagger @ 11/23/2013 11:00 AM
I'm 90% sure it's pronounced (Bean-o Ood-re) with a hard re like in the word "restart"
gunsnewing @ 11/23/2013 11:09 AM
I'm going to lose it if they don't get to the bottom of this

I know man these idiots at MSG can't even get the pronunciation of the name right.

knicks1248 @ 11/23/2013 11:18 AM

It's definitely Ben-o, he did an interview in preseason where he said he doesnt understand how people get it wrong- it's just Ben-o. NOT Bean-o.

gunsnewing @ 11/23/2013 11:18 AM
Croatian?

Wally said it correctly on TV. I'll take his word because he play against him.

so in the most international city in the usa he wants to go with a heartland pronunciation?

gunsnewing @ 11/23/2013 1:06 PM
The first 4 letters of my Italian last name are Bene(Ben-eh) so I will go with Ben-o

Bean-o sounds more gangsta tho

I'm assuming they call him Ben-o in Croatia close enough to northern italy

If someone tells you how to say their name do you usually tell them their wrong?

no but then you have to wonder why he tolerated having his name mispronounced when he was with the spurs.
