orlando has the lesser of the nuggets picks.. so if the knicks miss the playoffs and win the lottery.. The nuggets will be taking that pick.... unless theirs is worse, but I don't see that happening at this point..

Because they are imaginative. Offensively and how they use their entire roster young and old. None of this young players have to earn their strips on the bench crap. Does Woodson have a playbook?
Personally I'd rather go for a younger Vogel, doc, Thibs, Mark, spoeltra type

Fixing the easiest thing is never a good strategy, especially when your GM is the one who must hire, and work in concert with, the new coach.

Look MDA is 6-7 without Kobe or Nash!!! His PG's are Blake and Farmar! Lakers are looking GREAT on offense and they hustle on D, even if they aren't great. That team looks like a well coached team. People say MDA doesn't adjust but he's added Hill to the SL and they're having good success. Also MDA's Gm is working with him to get him the shooters he needed and PG help. Woody is just not showing you anything. Woody got the kind of older vet players he wanted last year and even this year they got him Beno, which i'm sure Woody was in favor of. He doesn't like to rely on young players. I think if there's any hope Woody is gonna have to make use of younger guys like Murry. I'm hoping Tyler can get well and rejoin the team.
People hate on system Coaches like MDA, but IMO you know what you get with him and if you work WITH him rather than against him you know what you're going to get production wise. The Lakers learned that last year by forcing Howard and MDA together it doesn't work. Problem with Woody is that he doesn't really offer much if the team doesn't have any natural ability on it's own. MDA can work with scrubs as long as you give him players that will listen and can play team ball.
The Knicks are infested with some selfish players that don't want to play TEAM BB. To make matters worse, Woody doesn't really coach TEAM BB. He's much more comfortable with ISO BB and it shows in how the team is playing. IF the team had come out playing the same style of BB as last year when we had Kidd, i'd give Woody the credit for how the team was playing, but it looks like Woody had very little to do with how the team was playing and that it had a lot to do with the presence of Kidd. I'll admit that I was wrong about the influence of Kidd on the offense. I assumed that Woody was more of an influence on the style they played, but that can't be the case judging from how the team has looked this year. They're aren't playing the same way at all. There's NOTHING about this years offense that bears any resemblance to the offense from last year when they were winning. The spacing, ball movement, screens, picks, etc. None of the things they did last year when they were winning are being done now. This is the offense from the playoffs when they looked horrible and were predictable in using ISO, poor ball movement and forced post ups. That's a bad indictment of Woodson's skills as a coach.
This team has no identity. Major problem that falls squarely on the coach. Last year and the year before Woodson preached defense and now regardless of Chandler their defense Sucks. They are not a gritty defensive team. They aren't a post up or running them. All of their plays are designed to get jumpers 15+ feet from the basket. And that is when they run plays. The most versatile scorer in the NBA has turned into a jumpshooter. They heavily depend on a player who has become one of the most unpredictable and undependable players in the NBA who also happens to shoot nothing but 15 footers. Their bulldog PG is playing like he should be a swing guard off the bench. They've alienated their top prospect. The coach is basically starting players to not lose games as opposed to win Games and decides we have to match up to everyone instead of forcing other teams to adjust.
Somewhere along the line Woodson lost his aggressiveness and his whole accountability shtick.

ironically I saw D'antoni do the same thing when our star players were missing, but of course lin had something to do with.
But make no mistake D'antoni is still terrible, and I have no idea what makes you think the lakers didnt want to keep Dwight.
As far as the Knicks go eventually you will admit this team is not as good as last years.
