Even in his current predicament, I'd still take Rose over Shumpert in a landslide. Derrick will be out the season, not the rest of his career, which still will figure to be pretty damn good albeit not elite.

rose on his 2nd knee surgery, this dude is is alway hurt..how long before the operations comeback to haunt him, they always do...

Miniscus really is t that big a deal. It probably happened because he was compensating for the knee he had the acl on. Not quite trusting that knee yet

It's not going to happen but Shumpert for him is a low risk, high reward trade. The fact that we have Hardaway and Smith would cushion the blow if the deal doesn't work out.

Wow. Love Deng and his all around game, He is definitely a target with Butler's emeregence.

Anthony, Felton, Shump, Hardaway jr for DRose and Deng works in espn trade machine. I think to get Rose you have to give up Melo. Amare essentially has the same salary but I can't see the Bulls taking on that deal and giving up two marquee talents. I do this deal if I am the Knicks and say fu to the pick the nuggets get this year.

Its not just the meniscus tear, but the fact before he went down witht he ACL he was dealing with a tonne of health issues. Supposedly spent the past year 'getting his body right', and has another load of issues (neck, groin, hamstring) before tearing his meniscus. Also you have to factor in the psychological impact, and the fact he won't really have played 2 seasons.
