So this is it knickscity--the fans have to accept a scky team for the next two years until Dolan picks out who he wants to spend our next 3 draft picks on?
Right as long as Melo gets his and it looks like he is the only one trying therefore the media isn't killing him. Melo is ok with that even if it means keeping Woodson

We've been accepting it for a while anyway, but lets be honest.....we know coaching isnt the number one issue.
Most people and media felt the Knicks were good for 50+ wins. If they wind up with 20 something wins that's not a good look
It was win now team last year and they get the max they can get.
The cosmetic changes after vets who supposed to fade away did fade away never worked and cannot work.
This team is due to major rebuild and there is no way around it Dolan no-Dolan.
This season is just a stop-gap time.

Woody was a winner in Atlanta and NY--I don't think Woody is the problem--or atleast the overriding problem. Look at this team--the talent level is not that good and we have a bunch of players who dont play at 110%. If Woody had a 2G who scored 17 points and shot 48% hed look a lot better--instead we have Iman Shumpert who should be in the d league. This team from head to toe is not a good team--that is the nukner 1 problem. Is a new coach going to shoot for Iman or make JR not go 3-10? Is a new caoch going to get Bargs to pull down 10 boards ever day? Get Carmelo to pass yes wed get a small new coach push but that would be it.

guns I think the dynamics of our #1 3pt shooting and number 1 in turnover ratio team is simply gone. The dynamics of it had to start with J Kidd who is not here

I agree, and felt this way all summer long, this core reached it's peak last season, and when the smarter players all left, this club was doomed.
But I still had them pegged for a good regular season...you can win 45-50 games with effort alone, and these guys dont give a full game of it.
But yeah the talent really is poor, combined by having dumb lazy players.

I think you have to look at the backcourt and injuries. Only half the team played like they cared last night. Not sure how you fix that. I truly think Shump needs a change of scenery. His play has been really bad. Unless it is related to his summer surgery there is no reason for his regression.
If he's going to get fired it will be Sunday- we have a game to lose vs the Nuggets on Friday, Then one to the Hornets on Sunday. Next game after that is Thursday AND its vs the Nets. Then we hit a streak where if we were better than the garbage that we are, we would actually have a shot at beating teams (Nets, magic, Celtic, Cavs, Bulls, Celtic, Hawks, Wizards, Bucks). Plus Tyson should be back. And Tyler.
So the ideal time to fire a coach- if he isn't fired by then, he's here for the season (as I suspect he is)

Shump is experiencing what Gallo and Chandler experienced...he dont wanna be traded and I do think he's purposely doing this.
He hasnt forgot how to defend and knock down the open three.

shump took 5 shots in 25 minutes..he's a sg..nobody feels like there part of the offensive system but melo and jr, and maybe bargiani

Melo isn't killing the coach not this time. Melo loves Woodson because he can do what ever he wants. I think the other players have tuned him out.
This is what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum! Melo wanted to play in a system and for a coach where he can do whatever he wants, here's your results! Seen it coming a mile away!

He may have forgotten how to knock down the open three. He had and air ball and a wide open three from the corner that wasn't close to going in. He maybe over thinking things but I don't think he is playing bad to not get traded.
Woody should've never been hired in the first place. Should've stay the defensive consultant or whatever he was.

Interesting. Did you see it last year? I think there are many layers to what is going on and it is much more complex then this. It started with Grunwald being fired and has been messed up since.

He was abysmal at that though! He was so bad, people were speculating that he deliberately did a bad job to get D'Antoni fired.

Well D'Antoni didn't want a defensive coordinator until his returning as coach depended on it and the only guy he didn't take to NY from his Phoenix staff was his defensive coordinator.

Hell yes I seen it last year!!!! I, along with many others , did not believe the AARP gang was gonna amount to anything but a nice regular season record, and Melo getting the scoring title. Nothing more!

Not sure how he get this defensive label. Was the defense really good in Atlanta?
Or yeee... he had 10 SFs on this Atlanta team so they can switch anything...
