Woodson has already proved how to lose a team in 14 days, how terrible his defensive strategy is and how unoriginal and lost he is on offense.
The only reason for keeping him is because the next coach would probably have the impossible task of installing a new system on the fly and making the playoffs, but truth is Woodson doesn't seem capable of turning this team around.
We need a lot of move sto be competitive, bu tthe first one should be to fire Woodson already.

Red Auerbach, Pat Riley and Greg Popovich would have the same results with this roster.
The competition has gotten incrementally better, across the board. Especially at guard.
Were losing games because were not getting to the FT line...go check the stats of every game and look at the disparity in FT attempts..Go look at the stat sheet of every game last night, the winning team either took and hit more FT then the losing team, or hit more 3"s

Knicks1248 - good information. Have you noticed how each Knicks offensive possession feels like a trip to the dentist?
Working to get an open shot seems like a struggle for a reason.
None of our players, outside of Carmelo, are able to impose their personality on a defender to manufacture the fundamentals, like a pick and roll, a bounce pass or a kick out pass to the corner. Our guard play has been abysmal. Skill-set-wise, we are too slow to run a break and too fast to hoist a contested shot. Our starting center is out and we have no quality depth at forward.
Other than that, we good.

Its so easy to blame the coach, but lets be real, this is not a very talented team. I said it last year during our run, Woodson overachieved with this roster last year. They won with defense, taking care of the ball, shooting lights out on 3's and Melo and JR both having a great years.
Take a close look at this roster. In a guard driven NBA, we have one of the worse starting backcourts in the league. We are not knocking down the 3-ball anymore. Our anchor on defense is out, JR has come tumbling back down to earth (is it the money or injury?) and our bench is horrendous.
Of course Woodson could do more to help by being a little more creative on the offensive end, (Flex cuts for Melo, weakside pin-downs to get more player movement, etc) and maybe trap the PNR instead of switching which creates tremendous mismatches for the opposition, but he doesn't have much to work with right now.

what are you talking about, 75% of knicks fans feel the same way, and it wasn't just the pacers series, we look like a 8th seed in the boston series..he made absolute no adjustment in either series..

woodson continues to play 10/11 guys short minutes..you can not get into any fckng rhythm like the MISTEREARL..You know basketball, im not saying anything foreign..develop your nine guys and live with it unless there's injuries..

he's playing them because there vets, thats the only reason he plays guys token minutes, but he screws up the flow, and it's bad for the player and the team, nothings consistent..guys looking over there shoulder every time the whistle blows..
He will be fired after thanksgiving when the Knicks come back home. Dolan has fired coaches with records than 3-11

Melo isn't killing the coach not this time. Melo loves Woodson because he can do what ever he wants. I think the other players have tuned him out.
