Knicks · Game Thread: Pelicans lose the feathers, they are now the naked birds and uglier than before (page 1)

Preview:

We snap the funk, Melo goes off for 30 shots, err, 30 points! Drops buckets.

Woody diagrams a play, JR executes, Felton sleeps off the jelly donuts!

All is good in the land.

L.

Jrue with a triple double, I'd even be willing to bet Ryan Anderson outscores Melo.

GustavBahler @ 12/1/2013 3:20 PM
Now that its out in the open that JR has knee problems, maybe THJ can get some of his minutes. I will be PO'd if he doesn't. Murry getting some PT would be a nice change of pace, if anything to push the PGs ahead if him to play smarter.

In a sane franchise,

you give it to THJ and Murray and let them run with it

Ha, the thread title is like poetry!

We are playing poor to average teams for the next 12 games. Up until now we've been even worse than any of them, but we have a chance to right the ship.

If we lose tonight and Woody doesn't get fired, then he's here for the whole season. Tonight is prime coach firing time!

If we lose tonight, Woody still has until the Nets game I think. We lose that and he may as well just step down.
smackeddog @ 12/1/2013 5:35 PM
In our favor, I can't actually watch the game until Tuesday- usually that means we win!
IronWillGiroud @ 12/1/2013 5:36 PM
This one has W all over it,

I personally guarantee a win with my life

TeamBall @ 12/1/2013 5:39 PM
Oh god don't do that IWG. Leave the guarantees to Dolan.

Ha ha! A bit extreme!

Back By Unpopular Demand

Jrue Holiday - Ray Felton, mismatch número UNO, the domino theory in effect
Eric Gordon/ I Man Shumoert - another point guard in sheeps clothing
Al Farouq Aminu/ Metta World Peace, advantage three part harmony, go with yoot
Anthony Davis/ Carmelo Anthony - push 7 for shot attempts.... push 2 for unibrow
Jason Smith (who?)/ Andrea Bargnani, Bargs goes for 20, Smith 17 but adds 6 boards

Bench
6'6 Tyreke Evans / Beno Udrih, "little help..."
Tim Hardaway Jr/ Anthony Morrow, advantage Georgia Tech
Ryan Anderson/ Amare Stoudemire, next!
Austin Rivers/ JR Smith, paging Dr James Andrews, Lisa Callahans line is busy

The Pelicans have six players who average double figures and shoot 46 per cent as a team

The Knicks have shot just 29.7 percent from beyond the arc at home.

You do the math

playa2 @ 12/1/2013 6:48 PM
Jason Smith is going for a career high tonight for Pelicans
misterearl @ 12/1/2013 6:51 PM
The Pelicans have 3 rotation players shooting .500 or better, and another shooting .494.
misterearl @ 12/1/2013 6:55 PM
Our leading shot taker (attempting 10 more shots pgame than anyone else) shoots 42 per cent from the field.

Our second leading shot taker makes 32 pr cent of his tries.

playa2 @ 12/1/2013 7:08 PM
Somebody needs to ask Woody, how would Red Holzman give minutes to this roster ?

And then follow up why don't you.
