with 2 different teams going to the ECF semi finals 3 times. I dont think that will check as a bad coach. He might not be Phil Jackson--but his record states that hes a good coach and Id like to hear what coach we should replace him with and give me their record over the last 4 years.

I never though Woodson was a bad coach it's just that he has run his course here. To much half court and iso ball. I don't think record should come into play with the next hire. It should be based on his fundamentals and approach to the game and talent of the team. For instance you would have thought Stotts would be horrible coach just based on his past record but he seems to be doing well with the blazers. How about Vogel he didn't even have a past. JVG didn't have a past either but as an assistant.

Getting your teams to go 172-94 and advance in the playoffs is not a sign of an idiot. There are plenty or lifetime coaches that dont haev a winning streak like that its .650 over 4 years.

You can't blame Woody if a player can't guard anyone but can blame him for not trying something different like playing Murry or Shump at PG.

nope, I think the coach is by far the easiest thing to fix at the moment, mostly because I see no improvement in sight so I figure bringing in anyone else will only be an improvement. I have no problem letting Herb Williams coach to send a message to this team while we look for a replacement, we don't need woodson to games, we're doing that just fine already. When you're at the bottom you can only go up.

I agree the roster is the most important thing to fix, but we have our hands tied in that regard.

That the current standard of play is unacceptable and more heads will roll if there is no improvement. Letting Woodson sink the ship further is the same as management saying it doesn't care anymore anyway.

All those dudes quit, no more retreads....should have went after the Spurs head assistant, but then it would mean trading the majority of the roster, which I'm not opposed to.
The W/L record doesn't tell the whole story. Especially regular season. If you can't see bad coaching with this guy I can't help you. I saw some good things over Woody's tenure but also some alarming things that are now confirmed this year minus some crutches and good luck he's had. He's been exposed on far too many occasions. It's not often the case but sometimes a coach isn't really making as much of a difference as it seems. One thing that exposes it is the kind of lack of answers we've seen from Woody.
Lionel Hollins, SVG, Karl I don't know who the answer is but I'm pretty sure it's not Woodson! We might get Tyson back and win some games but I'm convinced Woody isn't the coach that can push a team farther and especially not in the playoffs.
