Billy King and their owner has done a fine job up until they traded for the Boston douchebags and put Jason Kidd in as head coach....they should have went a different direction....
so their arrogance backfired on them....
anyway, they are still in decent shape....just like the Knicks they need to make adjustments. Both teams are failing at that right now

Yeah and the groundwork for King's wheeling and dealing was set up by Thorn. That guy knew what he was doing.
First red flag on King with Nets was the Wallace deal, absurd

They thought they were going to lose dwill. Still Lillard is the kind of missed opportunity that you talk about for decades if you are a fan (Noah, Aldridge this years second to last pick in the draft etc.).

Its easy to look back, but to take Lillard when you have Williams is easy. who knew Lillard would be this good too??? Nets problems are injuries and while its to expected, not this many and not that early in the season.
Nets also are wasting their young euro talent and not letting them play Prokhorv is trying to win NOW!!!!
Frank is the Larry Brown of Assistant coaches!!!!!!
If th Knicks traded the #6 pick for Gerald Wallace you would also be killing them. I still don't know what King was thinking there

It was insane! To not put any protection on that pick was ridiculous. And to do it for crappy, washed up Gerald Wallace was even worse. The fact that Lillard won Rookie of the Year was just the icing on the cake.
Yep. I would take lliard over Deron anyday

with the benefit of hindsight, of course you would. To know Deron would break down at age 28 would be valuable info.
Im not here to defend the trade but you have to put yourself at the moment its done and what your trying to do, one of which is to keep your star player from leaving as he opted out.
Nets model to "Win now" is insane but its a long season and their upside still big. Many had predicted a slow start so its no shocker.
Knicks were more cohesive with returning core and same coach.
Lawrence Frank was not assisting but telling Jason what to do and likely undermined him. Was he deserving of being undermined? Perhaps.
Im not worried about them, Im worried about the knicks!!!
Kidd had to do this. This year is all about getting Knowledge and you can't get coaching knowledge without jumping into the fire. I saw a few games and Frank was calling the shots. In a way it was lowering Kidds value as a coach. I think from this point on the Nets are going to get better.
