Knicks · Knicks Point Guards Are All Obsolete (page 1)

The Rookies
Oladipo finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, shooting 8-of-18 from the field and 10-of-12 at the charity stripe. Yet he was still just No. 2 on this historic night at Wells Fargo Center. That's because Michael Carter-Williams joined him in the triple-double club with 27 points, 12 boards, 10 dimes and three steals while going 11-of-19 from the field and 4-of-7 at the stripe. - Bleacher Report
Where is our John Wall, Rajon Rondo, Kyrie Irving, Jrue Holiday, Tony Parker, Ty Lawson or Chris Paul?
We have no floor leadership.
NBA Guards are faster from baseline to baseline, quicker, and more versatile. They can score when needed and can be trusted when a game is on the line.
Where is Our Victor Oladipo?

He is Jeremey Lin.....
He is Noah, he is Aldridge.........
He is the picks we trade away. He is Wilson, gallo and Mozzy, who are assets that could have been traded for picks.
He was traded for CapSpace....
The answerman is asking the wrong questions.

mistererl--we gave away the farm when we traded for Carmelo--every asset we had--we gave away. That is the top reason why we are where we are today. And by years end we will be giving another important asset away in the lottery. I have to believe this will be the last time we trade a draft pick with no protection--we've been smoked twice now.

I actually like Murry off the bench. I don't know if he can play PG at the NBA level though.

Draft picks you can't really cry too much about. The problem I have is that we had good yoots here that were promising. Plus, the basketball gods gave us a gift and our owner pissed it all away.

Heck we got Mozgov and sent him away for pennies. Freed from Karl's doghouse, he just scored 17pts and grabbed 20 rebounds, 2 days after getting 16 boards...
The knicks had a lot of luck, they sometimes drafted really well. They just spent unwisely with no regard to the future.
At some point, you have to pay for your mistakes, and the Knicks are in for a freaking ride.

At what point do the Knicks realize that their PGs are all third stringers. There is a reason why Felton got beat out in Denver and Portland. There is reason why Beno has mostly been a back up. There is a reason why Pablo is a third stringer his age. At what point do you say we have go and give Murry a try. There is a good chance he may stick I guess that is the Knicks biggest fear that a player just might develop and stick.

I don't think that's the issue. Everybody knows, Knicks included, that the roster suck.
But what can they really do? No picks, no cap space, bad contracts that are hard to trade... What ace do the Knicks have in their hands?
None.
Why?
Cause they used them all already, year after year to avoid taking a true dive and clean the mess. Walsh started the cleaning process, but we would've needed another 2-3 years of draft stockpiling before making a major move for contention.
The Knicks went for it too quickly when they traded for Melo, spending all they had to get him... Like, buying a ferrari but being so broke you can't put any gas in it.
This is the sad stade of the Knicks. A slow motion crash that you can't avoid, cause the present is only a consequence from the past.
The Knicks did wrong yesterday and are paying for it today. Let's just hope they'll learn from it and that next time, they'll try to think about tomorrow.

Watching Toure Murry in person during pre season it would seem he at least deserves a cameo.
Watching the league run past us is no fun.

But your favorite, genius coach woodson, refuses to play him like a stubborn mule. Or are we going to blame this on the roster as well?
