James Dolan is from another breed. Carmelo is getting 5 years 130mm+ and no one is telling Dolan otherwise. As a fan you are held hostage to him--and unless the NBA intervenes---thats that.

Hockey actually has a hard cap and forces you to draft and develop
Lundqvist = leBron.
He is a backbone of the team and one of the best goalies in the world
Malo is not even close.

Well much more so than Carmelo--the whole thing is strange however as Hendrik was benched last week for Talbot who is also 4 years younger.

Rangers alternate.
Talbot is good and hopefully will give Lundqvist some rest.
But he need a couple of years to became 1st in goal.
Lundqvist is in prime age for NHL goalie.

And talbot stunk it up last game. Nothing wrong with having 2 great goal tenders. Talbot will get his chance or be used as a major trade chip down the road. He has played less than 2 handfuls of games
And Dolan has nothing to do with this other than signing the contract. It's Sather
Dolan doesn't get involved like he does with the Knicks
Also he took a hometown discount. Could've easy got a 10yr deal on the open market instead of 7
