I don't usually blame owners, but Dolan is completely to blame for the Knicks. He let Walsh do the first half of his job and then stepped in for the sexy part and sold the future for a great scorer with no court vision, no foot speed and no assists. The "star" mentality. The Stoudamire and Lin mistakes could have been made by anyone; only Dolan could have made the Anthony mistake, against the advice of many people. His ego must be enormous, almost as big as his inability to understand what winning basketball is made of. The Knicks can not be good with Dolan at the Helm or Anthony on the court.

Melo has great court vision. It is Woody that has enabled him to be just an iso superstar and not much else. A coach must demand more from his star player, I shouldn't say star his main player. If your running isolation plays for Melo then he is going to shoot. A good motion offense is needed to get everyone involved that is the key to success. All the players feel involved and everyone has their hands above the waist looking for a pass that will come when open. That's what great passing point guards do they keep the entire team ready because they may get the ball in scoring position at any time of the game. what we have right now is awful PG play. They suck defensively and they aren't very good in the open floor or rarely get in the open floor.

Karl, MDA and Woodson have tried.

We go Iso because of the roster, we go Iso because we have a great Iso player. Play to strengths.

When your desporate to keep JR, you got problems. We got a lot of problems.

Last year Woodson did a great job. Whats changed?

Except from his own admission he did not play for MDA. HE dogged it! He did not like sharing the ball so he didn't do it. He only wants to play ISO ball. He drove Karl crazy too! Why do you think he likes Woodson? Woodson was known as an ISO coach from his Hawk days where he ran the ISO-JOE offense. The Knicks sold out to a selfish star who can only play one way and that is for himself. The fact that he actually was annoyed because LIN got so much credit for the run that year and ran him out of town is enough for me. A real star would have embraced LIN and be thankful that he had another player with him to make it easier.

Let him go. Even by just walking away the Knicks will gain. They need a pick this year and in 2016, trade for that and a garbage contract. Good enough for me.

I agree that in the end, it's Dolan. He is a loser. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth. If he sells or just gets the hell out of the way then AND ONLY THEN will NY have a chance to get better.

Yea. If I was Lin I wouldn't want to be in New York and have to deal with a disgruntled Carmelo anyway. It's funny because people keep complaining that Melo has no help and when he did he got jealous and out the door he went because he could t share the spotlight. A happy Melo is when he gets his 30 on 30 shots but the PPG average is not effected. He won the scoring title last year. Can you imagine how satisfying that was for him?

I think the pressure for Lin would have been tremendus. He was smart to leave and smart to take the money.

Woodson is simple making everybody look bad..

We all seen melo play unselfish. .

We all seen melo play in the flow of the offense (olympics)

We all seen melo throw some great passes

We all seen melo play some solid defense at times

So why doesn't he do it consistent because the coach doesn't hold him accountable

He didn't say he wouldn't play for D'Antoni. He said he was playing harder for Woodson. When he played for D'Antoni he was playing point forward and despite having one of the best front lines in the league the team was well below .500. What D'Antoni was doing wasn't working with that roster and he wasn't going to change what he was doing. Woodson took over and the team started winning. Guys play harder when they are winning. He also said Woodson held them accountable. Not sure how or what that looked like but he brought up as a difference from the previous coach. That isn't saying, I dogged it for Mike or I wouldn't try. I think it is more of a statement to what the previous guy was doing wasn't working, it wasn't being changed, the team was losing and there wasn't accountability.

I have to ask what evidence you are pointing to that indicated Melo was annoyed and ran Lin out of town? Is it the interview that they played during the summer league game where one sentence was published out of context? I think Lin fired his long time agent, turned down the USA Select invite and had his agent issue a statement that there was no guarantee that Lin would return to NY indicated that Lin was looking to capitalize on his popularity and success. But if there is something to indicate what you say is true please post it.
