Once Shumpert chewed out Melo the. Next day it came out that Melo won't stay for this. I think the Knicks had a talk with Shumpert to get him to play better and raise his trade value. It is Melos people putting pressure on the Knicks to do something now not in 2015

Shump/Amare for Rondo/Wallace works on the trade machine. If that deal is there the Knicks need to do it.

I don't think we'll wait until feb 28th, unless the plan is to package him with some bigger contract to make a bigger move. Likely we'll be getting a low key player back, so they'll do the deal asap- especially as Shump has been struggling up until the last two games. If he goes back to struggling until Feb, then he loses a lot more value, plus there's the injury risk.

Yep, plus if those players are traded by the 19th Dec, they are then eligible to be traded again before the Feb trade deadline. So basically there's a small window between the 15th-19th Dec for a few trades- eg according to Marc Stein Morey is planning on moving Asik in that period so he can then move some of what he gets back, in Feb.

I have heard Morey interviewed and he seems like a good guy but when I read about him I always get the impression he always thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. Not a big fan of the guy

Its a shame- those two used to have a great relationship, with Woody affectionately calling him Rook for two seasons, and Shump buying Woody's old college jersey. No idea what went wrong, but they look like they hate each other now- must have started last season, but since training camp Woody seems to have it out for him, and Shump seems to hate him.

No way Tina said that on air. Maybe she said that is a rumor. I really doubt she said that she personally thinks that, she's an employee at MSG.

I feel that way- he's done a good job, but whenever I see his face or hear him explain how magnificent he is, I just think he's an asshole!
The way he handled the Lin thing (first offering Lin a pretend contract, stripping us of assets in the Camby robbery, after stripping us of assets in the T-Mac trade, then waiting until we had made all our moves and added salary, before ramping up Lin's offer, knowing we had taken on too much salary) was cold blooded, smart but still an absolute dick move! And we fell for it- we not only took on Cambys salary which made it harder for us to match Lin because of the tax implications, but we THANKED HIM for the privelege by giving him picks AND THEN he even cut the players he insisted on us trading to him, for nothing- so he didn't even want them- he just insisted on us including them. Really Grunnie got embarrassed in that deal.

Yea they brought it up as one of the reasons but didn't dispelling it. Hahn acknowledged that Woodson is hard on Shump. They dispelled what happened Sunday when Shump didn't pick up JR. She said that was nothing and they were good friends and hang out off the court

I think it started with the Lin handling. Shump is suppose to be really loyal and he was great friends with Lin. Things just boiled over.

Shumpert isnt going to get us Rondo.
Teams want Rondo because he is young and proven. It's not like Rondo relies on leaping ability to be an effective PG.
