I'm OK with that deal. Would Oklahoma be willing to spend more money? They've been kinda tight the past few years.

Why do they need two picks in the 20's? They are loaded in the reserve dept already. Tyson C is kind of the last piece to the puzzle for them
The problem is they don't care. They want the picks because that's how they build. They're not going all-in for the last price of the puzzle, otherwise they'd have kept Harden.
I think Chandler will need to get traded when he gets back - simply because I don't see how he and Bargs can both play and be effective.
Hey, even if they give us 1 pick - that is the kind of trade this defective organization needs to make - get some cheap talent that has the potential to develop and outperform their salary at some point.
Right now, we have the opposite problem - guys that cost more than their production with only downside production ahead of them.

Yeah but our defense can't be effective with Melo and Bargs at the PF/C spots.
I'd trade Chandelr only if we're doing real rebuilding, which means trading Melo too. It's gotta be for something better than 2 picks around 30, though. Is one of these picks from another team? We'd be giving them an all-star DPOY who could make them title favorites like Briggs said. The very least they can do is include Lamb or Jackson.

This draft would give us a chance to bring in two athletic positional players that can help with tempo which is much needed. Jones can be slotted to play PF and hes got potential. This would be a proactive move bringing three young quality players.

OKC has a key opportunity. How badly do they want to win a championship?
Picks are important but I think you're overrating the probability of success. A pick in the 20s is most likely to be a bench player, and even in the strongest drafts, my guess is only a few of them turn out to be good NBA starters.

Youve over rated Chandler from day 1. 2 #1 picks in a good draft plus an intriguing young PF who was also a round 1 selection is a fair trade. There wont be too many fair trades out there--he makes 12mm. This has a legit chnace because Tyson is a nice upgrade from Perkins who has a salary that is close with Chandler.
This is one move--that has ANY sense of realism--where the salaries match the need for both teams are there this is a deal in some form or another that could take place. This to NY would represent a LOT. Were going no where with Tyson Chandler--it was played out.

That's how I feel about it. Tysons contact us short too so they can go all in right now and go for it.

2 first round picks in this draft? do you really think OKC feels chandler is that much of an upgrade over perkins? come on now..

they could easily flip those picks to the rockets to get asik.... rockets love assets and picks...

ibaka is a better defender. Not sure how chandler makes oKC better... perkins gives them toughness, he is their enforcer... I would love the picks.. but OKC won't do this trade..
It's a good trade for both teams. Essentially it is a trade of Tyson for 2 very late 1st rounders. Perkins is useless at this stage of his career and Perry Jones is a non factor right now. This all depends if OKC thinks that Tyson is fully healed to make a run this year and the next.
Also, I think they have a history of pining for Tyson. Didn't they want him right after the Mavs championship year?

They traded for him before he was on the Mavs and it got canceled because of an issue with his physical.
I would do this deal like yesterday. Knicks are going nowhere as long as picks are coming back it may be worth it. Chandler is overrated no offense and he is not going to get the Knicks over the top.
