As Larry Brown would say "we just gotta play better"

God I couldn't stand that either

Yeah, because he was yappin' about not getting help on the Beal drive AND THEN just handed the ball to Melo basically saying 'OK all-star, go ahead---go win this you prima donna." That's what it looked like to me...Beno panicked and completely shut down mentally, Melo choked, Woody (or whoever the F else) needed to call a TO to advance the ball and get a much better shot for the game winner. Case dismissed. I count 1, 2 3 goats here maybe...Unbelievable, truly.

I don't know who had a worse brain fart -- Melo or Beno for allowing it to happen....Just because Melo asks for the ball doesn't mean you have to inbound it and give it to him there!!! WTF. This dude Udrih's supposed to be a veteran.

How did it look like that? While Udrih was yapping, Melo rushed to him and was urging him to inbound the ball. It's not like Beno called him over and handed him the ball to do what you just said.

Woody was asked during his post game if calling Chris up was a possibility and Woody said yes and they have to evaluate him

Disagree. I don't even need to see a replay -- this is what I saw live.

And that's going with the theory that they were running a play there to rush Washington for a shot -- which I don't think was the proper play there at all. You don't run that play there, not for the game after just going down 1.

I don't think that's what Melo communicated to Beno anyway -- I think Melo was basically like, 'shut up and gimme the ball.' And Beno gave it to him like 'here ya go captain.' Horrible play all around.

Its almost like they're trying to lose fans.

guys, dont beleive what he said about chris smith

marc berman was just being a smart ass asking if they'd think of calling him up and woody just said what you'd expect, that they'd consider... woody being p.c.

so funny of berman. woody was being all somber and sad and he has the nerve to bring up chris smith.

Vmart @ 12/16/2013 10:32 PM
Let the Chris Smith error continue.

I have no problem with Berman asking about Chris. I have a problem with Chris being on the roster in the first place.

The bold is what I agree with. I just don't agree with the part about Beno. Either way it was just a display of low iq all around. I still can't believe what I just saw.
Clean @ 12/16/2013 10:39 PM
A writer said something that I totally agree with. He said if Kidd was on this team no way that would have happened. He would have called a timeout before melo asked for the ball and before woody had a brain fart.

Me neither man. HORRIBLE. I feel like puking.

And up to that unbelievable conclusion -- we played so well to get back in that game, take the lead and basically hold serve with them for awhile there. Gut wrenching, seriously. Worse loss than the Pacer loss I feel.

Clean @ 12/16/2013 10:41 PM
LOL! this is pure gold! they asked shump did coach talk to you about what to if they score? Shump said no and I totally believe him. This coach needs to go!
Finestrg @ 12/16/2013 10:42 PM
Another thing to think about -- as soon as Pablo went out and you get word that he's not coming back -- don't you at least try to get Murry's feet wet there? How do you just say -- 'ok, however long this goes, Beno's my guy'??? And now Woody's telling Berman Chris Smith might be called up for another PG?? WTF did this kid Murry do to you, Woody?? LOL. Get this kid involved here.

Melo just said he thinks they were expecting a timeout too. What happened in that huddle...

Melo didn't look like he was expecting a timeout though...

Thank you...If it were me and I were Beno there -- F you Melo! We're calling a TO, ADVANCING THE BALL and getting the best look possible to win the game. I have no idea what the fuck was going on in Melo's head -- and Beno displayed no veteran experience there at all. Come on Beno -- if Melo told you to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge, would you do it? No intelligence at the end by everyone involved. That's it.

Hilarious.

I swear to you all right now -- a bunch of 7-8 year olds and a coach who's just the dad of one of the kids would've come up with a better gameplan there at the end.
