Knicks · Amar'e out "A while" (page 1)

MSG3 @ 12/17/2013 12:34 PM
Swelling in his knees. Dude is finished. I pray that he takes medical retirement and that Bargnani opts out of his final year. At least that would soften the blow of not owning our lottery pick.
tkf @ 12/17/2013 12:36 PM
wow
Clean @ 12/17/2013 12:41 PM
You know what this means. Secret surgery time! Please, I am not phased by this AT ALL. I knew this was coming before the season even started. This is the same thing that happens every year. Amare plays like crap to start out. He finally plays better after a month or two then he needs surgery.
smackeddog @ 12/17/2013 12:41 PM
what a f***ing joke- everyone knew this would happen, but Woody goes ahead and plays him 4 games in 5 nights to try and save his own job.
smackeddog @ 12/17/2013 12:43 PM
So just to update:

K-Mart out a while
Amar'e out a while
Prigs out a while
Felton out a while
Tyson might be back

This is exactly why you don't waste roster spots. This happens to the Knicks EVERY year and we still wasted a roster spot.

gunsnewing @ 12/17/2013 12:59 PM
I'm shocked
Vmart @ 12/17/2013 12:59 PM
I'm not surprised by this.
nyk4ever @ 12/17/2013 1:05 PM
that sucks, just as things were starting to turn for amaear. sigh, might be time for amear to just hang the goggles up. it's a shame.

Yup. Curse of the Dragon.

Nalod @ 12/17/2013 1:07 PM
Im blindsided.

If true, our championship aspirations are truely derailed now!

Im confident this team has the heart, gumption, IQ and leadership form top to bottom to maintain a meaningful season!

Im sure Melo will rally the men and "Win it for the gipper"!

They'll make a movie about this team one day!

Allanfan20 @ 12/17/2013 1:14 PM
But he is so durable. How could this happen to the man of steel? Well at least we have our first round... Oh wait. :-(

It time to tank, its time to trade Melo for young players and picks. With the cap space we have, and our lottery pick we might just land a.......................SCRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATCH!!!!!!

Its time to give Melo what ever he wants, Get Amare some German plama treatments and remember get Gilbert Arenas in here NOW!!!!

TeamBall @ 12/17/2013 1:29 PM
If Tyson comes back tomorrow, Woodson may play him too minutes so as to avoid playing Cole
SwishAndDish13 @ 12/17/2013 1:31 PM
Medical retirement...Let us pray!
yellowboy90 @ 12/17/2013 2:08 PM
Sorry to hear that he will be out but usually the Knicks go on a run when he is out for a long period for some reason.
GustavBahler @ 12/17/2013 2:10 PM
Its getting to the point where there really is no reason why Tyler shouldn't be on the bench, if we haven't passed it already.
Finestrg @ 12/17/2013 2:29 PM
Great

What else could possibly go wrong?

arkrud @ 12/17/2013 3:50 PM
Melos shoulder... I guess...
