Knicks · What about giving Sam Presti double his pay here (page 1)

let him pick the scouts coaches players and plans--one voice one strategic direction.

Let Jim D do his thing with his band and enjoy his life. I think hes had his fill with the Knicks- its time to sit back and do other things let someone else who's had marvelous NBA success manage the Knicks.

Go enjoy your life Jim D fix your relatioinshi9p with your wife and play your blues. One call to Prestis agent offering double OKC cant pay it. That will be the best money you spent in 12 years. You dont need consulting firms of frontmen--you need a successful young NBA GM who has a highly successful track record.

You owe it to the fans--maybe even yourself.

Dolan wants to be more hands on- he doesn't want to hire anyone who'd want to do their own smart thing, that's why he hired yes man Mills.

This. The end.

cosign

if that's not possible, I'd love to get someone from OKC or SAS to come here

any new gm the knicks hire will be after the season...which means the team would have 2 first round picks in the next 4 drafts. melo would be a FA and you can not trade him anymore for draft picks. and you will have no significant tradeable players. all you would have is cap space for 2015 IF you don't re-sign melo. so any new gm you bring in really can't do anything for at least another year and then you will have to hope for him to recruit some FA's in 2015. someone like kevin love, who can't even get his teams to the playoffs. good luck. knicks are fubared for a while. time to shut off the television.

sorry turncoat, I disagree. If Kevin Martin can get Houston a 'decent' package, I think Melo could net a decent return too

kevin martin didn't not by himself.. it was martin, lamb and the picks,(things we dont' have) although protected, but the need to get a good player at a decent salary didn't hurt either... carmelo is not going to get you a player like harden.. no way, no how... he makes too much money, has a lot of years on that body and hasn't delivered in a way that would suggest he get paid what he is getting paid.
