Knicks · Give credit wher it is due Tyson Chandler (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 12/19/2013 12:12 AM
The guy plays 36 minutes coming back from a broken leg 9 9-3 and really played hard--no real rustiness. That is a warrior.
Knixkik @ 12/19/2013 12:20 AM
Yeah he played well, very happy with him. The chemistry will come.
nixluva @ 12/19/2013 6:11 AM
Still not happy about Tyson playing so many minutes. Gotta have some sense of importance of the game. With our injury history when are we gonna learn?
CrushAlot @ 12/19/2013 6:24 AM
Kurt Thomas like courage. Maybe this gets the Knicks right.

Yep, feel like Woody is morphing into Don Chaney more everyday.

As well as his play, I liked his interview after the game- came across as a true pro, possibly the only one on the team!

Tyson refused to come out. Woodson should've pulled him anyway. Crazy how he played 37mins first game coming off a broken leg

I think when he's healthy, he leads the team with his play.

If he stays healthy, and develops that elbow jumper, we can win a lot of games.

I have no plan B, so this is what I'm hoping for the rest of the season.

EnySpree @ 12/19/2013 7:01 AM
Give his props but we need to get back to team. The knicks are in trouble. Whether or not he is a warrior is irrelevant. This team is unorganized and is in need of a change immediately. If Tyson is part of the change so be it. This team lacks chemistry. We desperately need a point guard. We need bigs. We need a new coach.

Tyson's presence was felt, but the flaws we have was still present. Tyson is working too hard out there. Everybody is working too hard like chickens without heads. Changes need to be made. They have to decide who they want around and make a move to give this team some fire. Coaching change and a guard and big man move.

Nalod @ 12/19/2013 8:43 AM
Team don't play until Saturday. He'll recover.
SupremeCommander @ 12/19/2013 8:59 AM
I've been saying this since last season - Tyson is vastly more important to this team than most are willing to admit

its not soft tissue... the best thing for him is to play as much as possible. He may be out of shape a bit but he's in zero risk of re-injury from overuse. Its really all on the player, and like Briggs said give Tyson credit. Melo also. I know he missed a ton shots but he played every minute in a double OT game and the Knicks plain and simply need wins. Must have been tough for the haters of the board (if they ever do more than just look at box scores and pretend to know something

Tyson will do his thing; blocks, noisy dunks, the funky AMase jumper. Hopefully, he's fulfilled his quota on the IR for this season.

This team goes as Melo goes.
Live with it. You'll live longer.

Chandler was the missing ingredient in so many intangible ways...heart, fierceness, personal responsibility, tenaciousness, leadership. Those things were missing before his return because let's face it: Melo doesn't have all of those qualities. He's a volume scorer who NEEDS others to pick up his slack on the intangibles. Tyson DOES that for him.

That's not really true. Before last night the guy had a avg a 60+ TS, a FG% near 50, 7 rebs, and close to 4 assists for the month of December. THe teams still would lose.

Yes, and with this group, he'll need to just turn all those numbers up about 25% and then we should be able to win. My point is, anyone thinking Tyson is more important than Melo is eating bad mushrooms.

Wow, Melo's FG% is near 50???? Has anyone alerted Bonn?

No need to alert him because that's just for December. His Novemeber was awful fg% wise. If he can get near 47% overall by January then you can alert him.

He will tell you that this would be a perfect time to trade him while his value is high.
