Well, 2 OT to beat a terrible team.
So many wrongs in a game I could not remember them (isos, stupid timeouts, terrible D, missed 3s on top of more missed 3s,...)
But the Bargagni play at the end... I mean I was totally speechless. This team is bad and if the east was not that terrible, the Knicks record would be even worse.
Crazy thing is they will still make the playoffs and may even go to round 2 if they finish 1st of their division.
How crazy and disrespectful for the game of basketball would that be.
And to Bargagni, man, please forfeit your salary, quit the league and go sell ice creams on a beach somewhere in Brazil.
dude, for all the good bargnani has done this year, he's the last guy that should be getting ripped on. he made a bone-head mistake, but he should be at the bottom of the list on gripes with players.
Yea --- it was a crazy dumb mistake but EVERYONE has made dumb mistakes. Bargs is the least of our problems
I'm coming to the realization that we have a roster full of low IQ players, and the coach's IQ is right there with his players..even when MDA coach we didn't take this many 3s..it's like woodson is making a mockery of MDA system. I LOOKED at the stats when woodson coach ATL, they didn't take half of the attempts we have taken.
Why he continues to allow his players to jack up jump shots at a 35% clip is assinine.
JR Smith bailed himself out hitting a couple big shots, but he was overall a disgrace last night. On the plus side, Udrih showed us what this team needs on offense with the way he made them pay for doubling Melo. We would have lost with Felton because he would not have done that. We need players who can shoot the basketball!!! It's too bad Udrih can't guard anyone or take care of the ball. I liked Bargnani off the bench. In order for this team to win, you need at least 2 deadly shooters on the floor next to Melo and Chandler at all times. Melo is passing well out of the double. As long as Felton and Smith are playing big minutes and taking a lot of shots, we will never win around Melo. Need consistent shooters.
Can someone tell me WHY THJr doesn't play in crunch time?

He's more valuable on the bench for quality reactions to bone headed plays.

Other than just being a rookie there is no good reason.

i actually felt bad for him.. but that play was a dumb, dumb move.. no excuse whatsoever.. He epitomizes a lot what is wrong with this team tho.. not all, but a lot..

you know what I have read on this forum...
carmelo is the least of our problems
chandler is the least of our problems
now Bargnani is the least of our problems..
this team is a dumpster fire yet everyone of the main players are the least of our problems.. go figure...

That's why a shake up is overdue. It's retarded right now. Beating the Bucks in double overtime? We might as well had lost the game. Double overtime against them? Its embarrassing
The biggest issue is really Dolan and the GM situation. IMO the other real major issues are that we haven't really dealt with the PG position effectively. The SG spot is also unsettled. So we start off with a Back court that isn't up to standard. Even when healthy Felton was like 25th among PG's last year. We had to have Kidd or Prigs next to him just to make it work. Shump and JR have been underperforming. Shump has holes in his game and JR is just a dumb player who is allowed to play even when he's missing shots, not driving and making dumb mistakes. All of this is made even more annoying since THJ even as a rookie is showing he's more reliable as a SG.
I don't believe that Tyson and Melo are really the problem. The production we can get from them is good enough to form part of the core of a team. I think THJ would actually be a better SG to start games even tho he will makes some mistakes. We need to solve the PG problem and IMO we need a better coach. One who makes better decisions and is really about accountability rather than just saying it all the time. Woodson's inability to really come up with adjustments or to be creative offensively are a HUGE problem. What did we have about 5-6 straight ISO Melo's to close out the game? It's ridiculous how predictable this offense is. No wonder Vogel snapped on him. It's High School level coaching.
How the players conduct themselves on the court is a reflection of their coach.

Really? I get that that was a horrible play but I think he has played well as a Knick. I don't see him as 'epitomizing what is wrong with this team'. I am not sure why anyone would say that about him. I would put Bargs play in with the positives so far this season.

Just imagine if we had a legit PG and we didn't rely on JR so much at SG? To me a HUGE part of the problem will be solved when we address those 2 issues. JR doesn't deserve the minutes he's getting. Even with his mistakes THJ has earned more minutes at SG IMO. Bargs is a flawed player but overall he's been good for this team. Woody brought Bargs off the bench and it didn't seem to bother his game. I don't see Bargs as a problem for this team.

Bargs being in the positive is more telling on the state of the team.
I think Bargs has been a very good player, arguably behind Melo second best on team.
Gaps, absolutely, but, good shot and for a guy with dreadful rep on D, seen him make more than a handful of nice plays. Play vs Bucks cringe-worthy, but, genuinely suprised by those who seem him as part of problem.
All for better PG - getting crushed on both sides of ball at that position - but, unless Woodson willing (and MDA tried, but had Melo revolt) to run offense through the PG, not Melo, could bring Chris Paul in here and wonder what happens.
Chandler back huge upgrade. One game, but remarkable how much he adds to this team.
Hardaway deserves more time.
I know the kid is a rookie, but hardaway should be getting more minutes than Smith. The kid hustles, shoots a high percentage is long and can mix it up.
How a coach lets a player take 17 three pointers is mind boogling.
