Knicks · Begley has written 5 fire Woodson articles in two days (page 1)

CrushAlot @ 12/19/2013 11:20 PM
I wish Zwerling was still covering the Knicks for espn. Ian seems to be focusing on Woodson. I love wouldan article on Steve Mills, what Hopla is doing with JR and Shump, what is happening with Jeremy Tyler and CJ (who has put up really good numbers). Just mix in a different topic. 5 articles on Woodson's job status is bush league. Even Isola and Berman aren't going hard after this. Woodson's status should be addressed but 5 times in two days?

Maybe he can work in a well-thought position piece from Barkely on why Woodson just sukked as a player, too.

ESPN hate. You gotta love it.

Why would anyone care about anything even remotely positive about this team now? It's sooooooooo much more fulfilling to learn every detail about this "dumpster fire" we're witnessing.

And, even better, duplicate stories sorta write themselves! The Copeland story! The Lin angle! The options are endless!

gunsnewing @ 12/20/2013 10:11 AM
It's all over ESPN radio too

I don't think there are a lot of positives for a team that won 54 games last was expecting to compete for a championship and currently has the 6th worst record in the league at 8-17. What sort of articles do you think they should be writing? The sartorial splendor of Clyde, Melo, Amare, and Tyson? The strong family ties that bind JR and Chris Smith? How awesome Bargnani is because he scores 14 points on 13 shots/game and contributes literally nothing else? How great the team is because we're not the absolute worst offensive and defensive team in the league? Please, I'd love to know what positive articles they should be writing.

Begley Headline| Is Mike Woodson coaching to Save his job?

Nah, he is coaching to get fired asap so he can retire and collect a check

Sheesh

If you could spend just a few seconds clearing the smog off your Somber glasses, you would have seen some suggestions from the OP:

I would love an article on Steve Mills, what Hopla is doing with JR and Shump, what is happening with Jeremy Tyler and CJ (who has put up really good numbers).

but it would probably kill you to force yourself to read about some topics like that, right?

Rant rant rant, the boys are marching. Stoke the fires of the dumpster! Give me a story on how Dolan's running a pipeline from the refinery!

You want a positive article on Steve Mills? The man you was the COO of MSG overseeing the Layden and Isiah errors? Who, when Anucha Brown brought her sexual harassment complaints to his attention he threatened to spread rumors that she was sleeping with an assistant coach?

You want a positive article regarding a shooting coach and his work with Shumpert (shooting 39% from 2 and 32% from 3) and JR (shooting 33% from 2 and 3)?

You want a positive article about two guys that are playing in the D-League because this team has chosen to waste a roster spot on half-pipe?

No, give me more gasoline! Sorry to interrupt.

We now return you to Woody's skull on a stick and the falling sky... holeeeeeee chit.

CrushAlot @ 12/27/2013 9:06 AM
Three more articles in the last 17 hours where he is talking about Woodson and his possibly getting fired. Begley seems to have a very obvious agenda. I am not trying to say writing about woodson's job status isn't topical but looking at topics covered by the best writers it seems he could mix in some other subjects. Health of the guards, melo's health, jeremy Tyler something other than using his column as the driving force to have Woodson fired.
Nalod @ 12/27/2013 9:18 AM
Jrod, you really think one has to wear somber glasses to see whats going on?

Does anyone really care what Steve Mills eats for breakfast?

Dolan will fire woodson for all the wrong reasons relating to on court performance. He'll do it to stop the chants.

Hope lies in draft picks. You suck, you get a good player. Not here. This year, you suck and instead StarMooby leaves. You suck, and argue why Denver is a better team who has your pick.

Dolan can be thankful the nets suck but will still win more than 23 games. Nobody beats Isiah, nobody!
