we are not trading lowry. we are going to see where this goes. tanking is now out of the window for this season. (we can still tank next year if we want to)

fields cap hit is $6.2 next year b/c of the CBA rules.

camby was bought out.

salmons and hansbrough have a $1 mil buyout each next year so in essence, they can be dealt as almost expiring contracts as soon as draft night.

we just can't attract big name talent in FA.

rudy was one of the most selfish players i've ever seen. he had to be removed but briggs, you are right, we are a sf playmaker away from being a serious threat. kevin durant in 16? :)

They have a bad reputation when it comes to finances.
Giving scrubs money and giving great players money are two different things.

Let's see what they do this season and thew off season.

They remind me of the Buffalo Bills when it comes to keeping the cash flow low to the players.

The highest salaried player makes 9.5 million dollars = Derozan

Why not play Derozan as your full-time 3. From what I've seen, he's a pretty good non-star playmaker. I really like the Raptors as is, moving forward. They have length, athleticism, youth and a very dynamic cast of players. At an average age of 24, I think they rank ahead of all of the so called "young up-and-coming" teams I.e. SAC, CLE, WAS, MIN. If they just tanked this year, I could see them being a powerhouse in a few years time. Wiggins and/or Marcus Smart would make them amazing.

They need to trade Lowry before he ruins their draft chances.

Wow Landry Fields salary goes up to $8.5mil next season! Next year they'll be paying $16mil for Knick scrubs that aren't contributing (Camby, Fields and Novak), after that they just have Novak hogging $3.75mil- we gave up a 1st rounder and some second rounders to clear $3.75mil. Jesus! And likely the Nuggets and Knicks will stink that year, so the pick will be another goodie (at least it can't be the number 1!)

It pains me how stupid and shortsighted our franchise is. We should change our name to the New York Missed Opportunities.

If you want to think positively about the three open roster spots created by that move, maybe Tyler or Murry turn into rotation or better players. Giving Fields that deal ranks up there with some of the signings the Knicks have done in the past. At least his elbow is back to normal.

derozan is good but not efficient, not good from 3 and he's not a playmaker. he's definitely getting better but he's not really a sf. i will say this - he does have heart and he takes those big shots. he really did his thing vs. george in the 4th quarter yesterday.

i think ross is the longterm sg b/c he plays awesome defense and cat hit the 3, one of those 3 & D guys. we need a playmaking SF.

dolan stopped our tanking this year. but all our other assets value have considerably increased.
