The shoelace thing is amazing. Shows JRs maturity level and utter idiocy. Once? Fine... guys are funny.. all in jest, take your pick, who cares? But after the league says dont do it and you do it the next day?
What a tool... but considering he failed three piss tests for weed Im not suprised.
Yea I forgot THJ was even on this team because JR is logging 32mins and shooting 32% from the field
Nevermind all the extra curricular antics
lets see who's thicker - JR or Woody.
Dolan must be pissed at this. Which, I guess, is good.
JR is the kind of dysfunctional player Dolan loves
Also giving JR some DNP's would require some ACOUNTABILITY. Something Woodson likes to pick and choose which players to hold accountable
Which coincidently are young players or players without a voice in the locker room.
In the Knicks eyes JR is our 2nd best scoring option
The Knicks are a joke and should be bannished from the league
I agree. As I said in another thread, JR watching THJ take his minutes and get the cheers would be a great punishment short of trading him. JR disrespected Woodson during a game on the sidelines and he asked JR how he could throw him under the bus like that after all he's done for him. He's still doing it.
There was a time when JR acted like he respected Woody, but that time has long since passed and his coach should act accordingly.

The worst thing anyone can do is give JR a warning because you know he is not going to listen. With a guy like JR you have to be direct. I blame Woody for this heavy reliance on this fool. When you go all out support for a fool there is a 100% chance that the fool will make you look foolish. Woody needs to get tough and hit JR with conduct detrimental to the team and give him a suspension or DNPs.
dude is a clown and NY is the wrong city for this guy to be playing in..a talented idio twith not a ounce of leadership

Exactly right. Why it is taking so long to happen is what is mind boggling. It's gotta make the others second guess and ultimately lose respect for the Coach regardless of how well liked JR may be among teammates.
I think he needs to go back to china, average 60pts and feed his ego and feeling of self importance. Because there isn't a city or team in the U.S. That will put up with this antics and eractic play
JR is the quinntisential post Jordan-era entitled and disillusioned player. Embodies everything that is wrong with today's nba
Give Tim Hardaway Jr his minutes. Being done with JRSmith sends a clear message about professionalism. This is New York City. We are the New York Knicks. Not some recreation league team.
Be done with the entire Smith family (including Charles, now featured in the Dennis Rodman entourage) and move on.
First team that wants JR can have him.
Woodson a fraud. inmates running asylum, he's a clueless enabler of this nonsense - from JR on/off court, to, ISO ball/no defense.

Yeah, after being warned. It's ridiculous.

Talking Points
from JR on/off court
Knicks22 - "off the court"... would you prefer your coach to be responsible as babysitter?
From published reports, Mike Woodson has talked to JR about maturing as a man. It worked to a certain degree last season. This season, not so much. As it relates to production, the after-effects of knee surgery turned Smith into a one-trick pony on offense, where last season he got to the rack. Big difference.
to, ISO ball/
Knicks22 - Please cite who you want with the ball in their hands with under 20 seconds on the clock?
no defense.
Knicks22 - No defense is a really (cough) valid point. Given our personnel, what do you suggest?
sheesh

Are you saying he did it against the Pistons again? Or are you saying he was warned about it before he did it to Marion?
Woody talked the talk last night in the radio interview, saying it was unacceptable, has to stop, needs to do something etc, so it'll be interesting to see what he does. I suspect nothing!
Woodson wanted JR back. Even considered starting him off knee surgery in the preseason

He was warned about it after he did it to Marion then did it again against the Pistons
