For those who don't want Thibs cos he runs his stars into the ground. Keep in mins Melo is playing over 40mins every night as he approaches 30. If that is Thibs flaw I'll take it
What Woody didn't do tonight is neutralize the pg who was too elusive Kemba Walker.
Shump or Murray with long arms should have defended him.
Also We should have tested Jefferson being able to pass out the double team.
JR was well rested just like he played Beno who was rested , he should have played JR
I don't trust Woody
Woodson did not do anything to stop Kemba. I definitely agree there. Let's just sit back and watch him torch Felton and beno

Who guarded Kemba would not have mattered. They always PNR with the PG/Big because they know we will switch. So no matter if shump started guarding Kemba he would be on a big soon enough.
I just don't understand why we switch so much. If someone even thinks about setting a pick we automatically switch.

Hahn stressed in the post game that Woodson doesn't want that specific switch and has gotten on Felton about it. Maybe Felton should sit until he wants to start fighting over screens.
I thought we are losing because we were not healthy and we really missed Felton and Tyson
This was just a bad game from everyone. Felton's penetration is still a big part of what we do.
Mr Earl: i don't believe most folks 'hate' woodson. To me, he's been an enabler of ISO ball, episodic (at best) defense, and, JR. He seems like a pleasant guy, read the tea leaves right here during MDA (if don't capitulate to the star, he'll go on strike), and worked out nicely last year. Get away with that when winning, but, when you dont - and, team has no D or O system - then you're going to lose support.
Knicks22 - distilling what you said.
When Mike Woodson wins he is a good coach. When he loses, not so much.
Mike Woodson cannot guard Kemba Walker.

Problem is he decided on who did.

You have a better suggestion?

Stop defending woodson so much, accept him for who he is,
A 1 dimensional coach , who has no control over his team, gets out coached by coaches who actually know what they are doing, and cant keep a consistent rotation to save his life
DefenseNYY1NYK2 - The Answer Man defends who he wants to defend. Who died and made you the freakin' opinion police?
You ever consider a consistent rotation is a byproduct of health and matchup advantages?
Please tell us, who would you have defend Kemba Walker?
Please.

Mike Woodson cannot guard Kemba Walker.
but he can stop Bargi from guarding him 50% of the time because of a switch, thats just as bad as JR's antics
Let's just all agree that Michael Woodson is a half of fame coach and can't do no wrong
There.

gunsnewing - Lets "all" never agree on anything.
This ain't a popularity contest.
Name another coach who can be productive under the censorship of Dolan's media policy, endless press manufactured rumors, the politics of 2 Penn Plaza, annual trade deadline drama, a revolving door at General Manager, expectations of the most expensive seats in the league, one-third roster turnover, cablevision being in bed with CAA and self-entitled fans who know more than anyone on the planet.
Just one.

Outside of being 1 dimensional, and constantly out coached by other coaches, I guess he's also a magician.....How and the world did he manage 85 W's and 56 L's, not to mention an Atlantic Division title since taking over as the NYK's head coach?

I am talking about LITERALLY in the FINAL play where DEF is only needed, he would still put the players that he favors/trusts regardless of their inabilities
and
talking about how he instantly STARTS those same players or put them in the rotation in before players that have been productive and while we are winning get sentenced the the END OF THE BENCH
it is a problem and a HORRIBLE decision when the coach makes these kinda of mistakes and plays that type of favoritism, it does not help build the confidence and production of our youth either
Udrih should not have been in to defend Brady Beal
Felton should not have been in to defend Dragic
Kemba Walker should have been defended more by Murry with a mobile C playing C
Tyson Chandler does not mesh well with AB and Melo together but gets the START despite not playing in such a long time, Amare plays before Copeland in the play offs last season
it is a repetitive issue
When Pablo is back, Murry will get sentenced back to the end of the bench despite being our best defender at the PG spot
Chandler will continue to START as we will get off to bad starts because of the poor FIT
Anyone can complain
RonRon - please indicate who are your offered starters, and the complimentary roles they play.
And then please indicate which players offer the Knicks best defensive lineup when we need a stop.
Thank you.
