Knicks · What do you think JR. Smith did or didn't do to not play tonight? Is he being traded?? Your opinion please. (page 1)

I think JR Smith did something that broke the Camels back. Rumor says JR is clubing during the week. Dolan is pissed off. If we move him I believe someone else is going too.

He looked a lil hung over on the bench.

Please let him be going away, please let him be going away, we don't need this bench cancer no more.

JR just said he is no longer talking. I would have to guess that JR is gone--and with Dolan if he really pirsed him off--he probably banished him to Minnesota.

One thing you do not do is get on Dolans bad side. I think that Betrayal thing was the straw that broke the camels back. Before that tweet he was being treated with kid gloves no matter what he did. After that tweet those kids gloves were thrown away for an iron fist. Like the cliche says Dolan can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

Pretty sure he banged Herb's wife

It is not fair.
The man tried hard to entertain...
Isn't is what it is all about?
Clear betrayal...

Well at this point I hope it is due to a trade, because otherwise "shit just got serious", and I'd rather not have the distraction and petty war of attrition between JR and the Knicks, just as we were starting to get more focused.

The irony about the tipping point being Dolan feeling betrayed by JR's declaration of feeling betrayed would be pretty funny if it weren't so pathetic- yes Dolan, you come across just as stupid, petty and ungrateful every time you declare you've been 'betrayed' and exile a player.

Despite him annoying me, I did like JR, but he has been very very hard to like this year, and it's worrying that he doesn't comprehend why he's in trouble now. Woody and the Knicks spoilt him and treated him with kid gloves and a different set of rules to any other player- the result of that wasn't that JR became appreciative and loyal, but rather he developed a sense of entitlement. He can't understand why he's been benched?

Partying in the playoffs
getting suspended in the playoffs
getting suspended for drug use
shooting under 35%
Bone headed play after bone headed play
never in position on defense or offence and refusal
twitter threats
shoe lace stunt
repeats shoe lace stunt after being warned.

And he thinks he's being unfairly treated?!

However what's even more ridiculous is that if he is about to be traded, it's not really because of any of that, but rather because Dolan feels he betrayed him. So once again we make personnel moves based on loyalty to Dolan. What a joke.

Dolan owned this plantation so he can do anything he want with the... workers.
This is corporate business without window dressing. Go and see.

For anyone that missed the post game interview....

it might be on Knicksnow.com later on today, unless Dolan doesn't want it on for his personal reasons which is possible because some of the other post game interviews are on the site already...

Sometimes we have to just admit we are wrong and just move on for the better of the team, as a pro athlete, and for his career
Until then, I like what I see from the combination of Murry, Iman, Tim Hardway JR, and some Felton/Udrih they relieve JR's minutes
He simply isn't the same player he was last year and part of the reason is his knee but a lot of it is his mental approach
Whether going to the basket and attacking aggressively, REBOUNDING, PLAYING DEF, and shooting only wide open jumpers and not shots that he can just get off, with a few step back jumpers when not needed
I wouldn't say he is selfish either though, he just isn't as HUNGRY as he was last year when he was auditioning around the league, looking at a point like a 10m+ per year player

Especially for those in a relationship and have a wife, they should know this, you cannot win every battle but you must win the war

JR Smith is eligible to be traded today or tomorrow, if he REALLY didn't have an altercation with Woodson in practice or do anything at all
Maybe it is beyond Woodson's control (my speculation and is that it is actually Dolan after the Chris Smith CUT but was fully payed for)
Dolan was originally on Iman Shumpert's case and it affected his performance/confidence but after Dolan went to the locker room and promised no trades/moves coming in the near future, Iman was relieved much and thus performed much better
When the reporter told him he was eligible to be traded tomorrow, he looked stunned, and didn't want to leave N.Y. but also didn't want to say that either..ll

I hope we don't move JR Smith because he has at a all time low in terms of VALUE as a Knick however, if he doesn't mature up, apologize, and continues to goes off doing/saying things he shouldn't, he could be a huge off the court distraction that we wouldn't need
Especially when we still have a legit chance to win the Atlantic Division again, despite our horrible start

Someone’s minutes are bound to be slashed – and perhaps altogether - as injured and ill Knicks continue to return to the lineup. J.R. Smith was that someone Mike Woodson once again elected to sit on Tuesday night. The Knicks didn’t claim Smith was sick or injured before the game, but the reigning Sixth Man Award winner wasn’t used at all despite a sluggish shooting start for leading scorer Carmelo Anthony, who came on late and managed 20 points on 9-for-22 shooting. New York Daily News -

With many Knicks fans in the crowd, chants of “J.R. Smith” broke out multiple times during the game, but his name was never called by Woodson, who even inserted Jeremy Tyler (six points) and Cole Aldrich for the closing minutes of garbage time. New York Daily News -

I think the media have taken JR's comment "Communication from my end is over" out of context, his full sentence was: "communication from my end is over. I’m going to show by my effort", which isn't as bad.

Still looks like the Woody and JR romance is over...
