Knicks · Knicks 10 out of next 11 at home--mostly against sub .500 teams (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 1/16/2014 10:33 PM
They have no chance in hll to beat Indiana so this is all about whether or not we can be an intermediate team. At 9 games down 8-3 is a minimum requirement. After this--most of the schedule become unfavorable
Dagger @ 1/16/2014 10:44 PM
Is anyone going to watch the game tomorrow? No STAT, no Hardaway, no Kmart, second night of a back-to-back, just seems like a horrible way to spend a Friday night.

It doesnt matter what I believe or don't believe--this is just fact. IMO we have no chance to beat Indiana--if they try hard--theyd beat us 4-0. On the other hand we have too many problems--our big men are just older and fragile--were not bad enough to really stink but were not good enough to have a chance. That puts us in the worst NBA spot--no mans land. This next 10 games is important to MSG--they can win several home games and get into a 7-8th playoff position --atleast for the time being

NYY1NYK2 @ 1/17/2014 12:43 AM
We have a chance

Clippers without chris paul suck

but these injuries do some key things, now tyler and murry HAVE TO PLAY.
maybe even aldrich.

this will be interesting

We're not nearly good enough to be able to look at an 11-game stretch and say "8-3 minimum."

But yes, it is obviously a key stretch for us. Should be interesting, especially given how we have looked in our last two.

Tyler will get likely shot, just not the way that would allow him to work HARD independently

Felton
Iman
Melo
AB
Chandler

Udrih
Murry
JR
Tyler

I would bring Chandler off the bench but what do I know since it is a back to back and he is coming back from an injury which I wouldn't have started with the amount of games he played this season till about 3-5games (but if we continue the win streak, I would likely have him come off the bench unless the matchup says otherwise)

Did anyone NOT expect Amare and Kmart to get injured this season?

Lin won NOBODY in NYK
Yes still gets mocked today, even without him we likely would loss a lottery pick vs a higher pick (mid-high teen vs LOTTERY)

While Melo gets passed by mocking the other players instead
WHO ARE THE REAL KNICK FANS?

We miss Kidd, Rasheed, and Thomas because they were part of our leaders and we miss their guidance, IC, smarts, and LEADERSHIP
We have not advanced in the playoffs because we are missing TALENT, doesn't help that we basically loss our 3m MLE 2 years in a row and we traded half a team for Melo a few seasons prior to that
Look at how many draft picks teams are getting to SHED and SAVE salary
We helped Denver save over 50m in TAX and salaries but I am the only person that brings this up while the "Melo supporter" suggest that we just traded 2 draft picks and a few role players

The Knicks will still make the playoffs just because the East is so bad. I think the real question is if they can win the division or not?

We should be back to seeing a shorter rotation if Amare, KMart and THJr are out, which as we've seen, has benefited Woody and the team.

Clips
Nets
Sixers
Cats
Lakers
Celts
Cavs
Heat
Bucks (Away)
Blazers

I realize Felton was instrumental in the Miami win, but Woody better recognize before the 4th Qtr of games that either Shump or Murry need to be playing more on the many opposing G's during these stretches. Shump sat on the bench way too long last night while Indy ran away w/ the game and I'm concerned Murry will get buried even further down the bench w/ Prigs coming back and I think that'll be a huge mistake.

is darren collison going to run amuck?

Can't count on a soft schedule. Look what the Knicks did in the softest part of their schedule to start the season. Amar'e said it best post game. They pick and choose when to come out with intensity.

The only guys that bring it consistently are Amar'e and Melo. Felton is garbage. Chandler is the most overrated player in the league. I'd trade him in a heartbeat.

This is the time for a major re-set. Look at these games as preseason matchups. We should be able to set rosters and get a steady substitution pattern. We can also try Tyler and Murry against a better grade of opponent. After these games, we will have a better idea regarding the future of this group. Minor changes or blowing it up.

Felton helps at the offensive end, but there's a BIG dropoff when it comes to his defense. Opposing guards seem to have their way with him. When Woodson sees this, he MUST do more than stare at him. Get one of our defensive players to stem the flood, either switching men or taking him out completely. The same thing for Beno. We have the worst defensive back court in the league. Steps must be taken to correct this. When does Bobby Brown finish up in China?
