A breakdown video I made showing some examples of why the Knicks have not been very good thus far this year. Let me know your opinion on how the Knicks defense has been this year.

The Knicks have a hard time sticking to a man, which leads to too many breakdowns. In the past, Tyson Chandler has been there to clean up many of the mistakes but he is losing a step and has also been injured for much of this season. We need better, more disciplined perimeter defenders that are capable of fighting over screens when and we also need to get rid of Andrea Bargnani and Amar'e who are two of the worst help defenders I have ever seen at the 4/5 spot.

Your points are spot on. Chandler has faltered, our perimeter defenders have no discipline and will quickly allow their man to go by or switch, causing mismatches and missed assignments. Our coach seems to have no will in all these situations, often railing at the minor players, but letting the transgressions of our "stars" go with the famed Woodson stare. A re-emphasis must be placed on the defensive end, showing effort to get over screens, and sticking with the defensive assignments. Unfortunately, Bargs and Stat will be with us, at least until their contracts expire. Woodson must get these two up to snuff on defense or sit them.
