Dragic
Lin
May not be possible til offseason since Eric Bledoe is out pass the trade deadline but they can use a big like Tyson. They just have to add some fillers to get it done
Lin is a tough one because they don't want Tyson. Beverly returns Monday and Lin because of a trade asset
Can't get either since we don't have players Houston would want. Knicks need to play Murry more than 9 mins especially if we're going to be losing like this.
why are the suns going to trade dragic? him and bledsoe played great when paired to gether and now that bledsoe is hurt, dragic is putting up gaudy numbers. he's not going anywhere.

We are not getting Dragic--if you were Phoenix tell me who exactly would u want for your all star guard from the Knicks--thats right--no one. Its not realistic. Whats 100% more realistic--Carmelo is gonzo for no compensation.

cool.. addition by subtraction..
Hey man Alan Hahn thought it was a good idea and he gets paid for his opinions!
Ha on an unrelated note Ronnie brewer is now fooling me on twitter. Hope he didn't read my ultimate posts about him!

He looked really bad last night. He had a very hard time with collision and doesn't do well if his man picks him up full court. Maybe more minute helps him overcome this but he looked very much like a d league player last night.
To the people clamoring for Lin- The reason we didn't sign Lin is because of his very bad contract. Why is his contract bad? Because the third year of his contract is a huge poison pill. So why on Earth would we trade for him, in the worst year of his contract, to help out Houston who fucked us over with the poison pill in the first place? Now that the years have passed where his salary matches his production we want him in his last year at a salary no one in the league would touch. Not only that, people want to give up considerable assets for him! That would be like getting knocked out by Houston in a fight, getting up, and saying "please Morey, may I have some more?". Total joke move. If we do this it will be among one of the most pathetic Knicks trades to date and will only prove why we are the laughingstock of the league.
I know you all think Dolan is stubborn (he is), but would any owner with an ounce of pride really turn around and do this trade? No!
Also Lin is an average PG, if we're rebuilding I'd hope we can do better than him. We should have learned by now that having a good, fast PG is very important to a team's success. Dragic is a much better choice, but more expensive I'm sure.

but bargnani's contract isn't bad huh?
I just don't get post like this.. lin would make the knicks better.. bargnani doesn't...
Lin fills a position of need.. bargs doesn't..
people defended bargs, his ridiculous contract and all the picks we gave up for him... smh

Suns arent trading Dragic- him and Bledsoe were playing great together.
Dolan won't have Lin back because of 'betrayal' (it never comes from an enemy...). Lin hasn't been playing particularly well since returning from injury- certainly no where near the level of his salary next season.
Yea definitely. In today's NBA having multiple ball handlers and playmakers is golden
We have Zero.
Tyson isn't that all world 40min defensive player the Knicks and media makes him out to be because he won a ring as a role player to Dirk where he averaged only 2I'm right next to Jets practice facility 7mins per game

I wonder if the dwill for Asik and Lin deal goes down. The Rockets are in the unique position of being able to do that deal with not much at stake if it doesn't work out. If Williams can return to form that is a championship big three. I wonder if Morey could get a power forward or plumlee included in that deal.
Dragic would be great as a free agent in 2015 or before in trade, although that is less realistic. He is a late bloomer similar to Nash (not as good but gets better with age) and will be an all star caliber player for many more years. Pairing him with Melo and this team would be in a much better place. As of right now, Dragic and hardaway is my dream scenario in the backcourt if Melo is here for the long term.

I didn't say a word about bargs
Yea the problem is we don't have the assets for a player like dragic largely in part due to the Melo trade. And we don't have a pick to draft that kind of PG
So it might be best to trade Melo and co and replenish assets

If the knicks traded shump for Dragic this off season they could have gotten him. Same with isiah Thomas. It's spilled milk but the knicks made the mistake in wishing their players into stars. We need to get better. That should be the only goal. We coddle the wrong players. That's always been our problem

Not much to get. Lin was going from a league mini deal on the cap to poison pill on the cap. Bargs was traded for guys that already had salary slots for the amount of his salary on the Knicks. Three guys were moved. Two of those spots are filled by the young guys now. Equivalent or better than OKC's second rounder this year and probably better than the KNicks second rounder next year.

Don't confuse with UK type talk as the true valuation of playrs. Not sure Shump's value was all that high to begin with. My opinion is based on Shump cutting his hair and knocking off the flashy shoes, hair endorsement thing, and coming in with a focus. we learned his knee was not 100 either. Well if we know this, other teams know this.
We talk up our players but thats just us.
From what I have read Trading Deron would kind of bust up why Garnett and pierce came to Brooklyn. Prokhrov says they are in it and expected a slow start but not as many injuries. Deron for Lin and Asik does not get BKN to a late contender run.> Asik is good, but they have blatch & Garnett still, with Plumlee at 3rd string. If you get to Plumlee, they are done by then. Blatch is better than Asik.
The real issue is whats up with Deron's ankles!
