On the Bulls-Nets' Teague-Shengalia trade reported by Yahoo!, I'm told it won't be formalized until next week.
Knicks could use Jeff Teague
They should've made a run for Dunleavy Jr. a week ago.
I'm not sure what to make of the deal. The Nets made a good move by getting a draft pick though.

Teague, the 29th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, had struggled to integrate himself into coach Tom Thibodeau’s system with the Bulls. Teague, a 6-foot-2 guard, has spent most of this season back and forth between the Bulls and the NBA D-League’s Iowa Energy. In 19 games with the Bulls this season, Teague averaged 2.4 points on 24.2 percent shooting in 12.7 minutes.
Shengalia has spent most of the past two seasons playing with the Springfield Armor of the D-League. In limited time with the Nets, the 6-9 forward averaged 1.5 points.
Taylor, like Shengalia a second-round pick in the 2012 draft, is best known for being the player whom Nets coach Jason Kidd asked to bump into him during a drink-spilling incident earlier this season. Taylor has averaged 3.9 points per game in 11.7 minutes with the Nets.

Teague has shown very little so far. He's looked lost the few times I've seen him on the court. The dude does have the physical tools, but he's not there yet. Maybe next year?

It took his brother a little time to find his game, right?

I wonder what this means in regards to Williams? Teague will definitely get minutes on the Nets. I think they like Livingston at the 2 more than at the point.
Apparently the move was done to free up a roster spot. Bynum? They can offer him around 5 mil
Good, it'll give Kalin Lucas more time to play for the Iowa Energy. Every time the Bulls sent M. Teague down to the DL, it would reduce Lucas' mins. drastically and push him to a reserve role. Kalin Lucas is a DL PG we should be keeping an eye on imho. I wonder if the Bulls pull off this move for Shengalia and then call up Lucas..
Meanwhile, the Pelicans are acquiring Tyshawn Taylor & cash from Brooklyn for a future pick, further pushing PG Pierre Jackson out of the picture:

I would love to add Pierre Jackson via reasonable trade or call up Lucas. A move like this for a young, quick up-and-coming PG could be just what the doctor ordered for us.

Marquis is even further behind the curve than Jeff was at the same point in their careers. You could make the argument that Jeff spent more time in college tho.
