I never seen a player who has no idea how or when to rotate on defense on every possesion..Amare is bad, bud he at least goes for the block..
Barginia is so bad when it comes to help defense, his offense can never make up for how pathetic he is on helping out..
When you think he's going to shoot a jumper, he makes some eye popping move to the basket damn near killing himself..he is the most frustrating player to watch..

My feelings too. I get the impression he isn't popular with the other players either- no one looks like they enjoy playing with him.
I really thought he didn't get a fair shake because of his draft position in a weak draft...
Wrong! He got a fair shake because, well, he sucks

All of this bashing of Bargs is unwarranted. His defense in the man to man is definitely acceptable. He also brings another option to a group that seems paralyzed when it comes to taking a good shot. Proper utilization of such a player is the responsibility of the coach, either by proper substitutions or by running plays, which Woodson rarely does. When a player is scoring well in the first half, you go to that player in the second half. It's not like the opposing team made adjustments to him, because usually, they can't. Woodson gets in a huff when some switch goes wrong and chooses to sit him for long periods of time. Let Bargs do what he does best. Provide offense and cause mismatches.

His ball IQ is equal only to JRs. He only comes to play every 5 games or so. He disappears in the second half of games and 4th Q's, his help defense is honestly the worst of any player I have ever seen- what the hell's the point in playing okay man to man defense if you don't play a lick of help defense?!
We were told that we were getting a no D at all playing, 3 point shooting Euro and not much else. Bargs routinely drains mid range jumpers, drives to the rim like a PF, and played very good man D on some of the best big men out there.
Early in games Bargs plays like he has a chip on his shoulder and by the end of games he looks like an overgrown Derek Zoolander, just out of it. Bargs has been a little better late in games but there is no denying he's a flawed player, as far as his motor goes and grasping team D.
I read the stat about how the team does when Bargs is on the floor. Bargs is often the one driving to the rim, even from the arc. The center, doing things that guards aren't doing nearly enough.
Bargs doesn't finish strong like a go to guy but most of his teammates haven't been go to guys this season either. You put him on a team with an elite coaching staff who coaches Bargs up, helps keep him focused for all 4 quarters, and I believe we'll see the the kind of player who can help put a team over the top. Unfortunately we are nowhere near there.
Bargs wasn't camping at the 3 point line, he went strong against one of the fastest teams in the league, and took one for the team. No shame in that.
