Even if he is still an undersized forward, looks like he can get in the paint....something we need more of
Brownlee is averaging 13.5 points per game on 51.6 percent shooting. And he’s doing more than just scoring. The swingman's also pulling down 6.3 rebounds, handing out 2.6 assists and getting 1.5 steals.
All of that, and he’s only turning it over 1.1 times in 29 minutes per game.
At 6-foot-7 and 219 pounds, Brownlee has strong court vision for his size, and has shown he can score in bunches when necessary. He put up 35 points in the D-League Showcase in Reno, Nevada recently, drawing attention from several scouts and team executives in attendance.
Glad to see he's developing well.
As a johnnies fan, he was pretty frustrating to watch because he has potential, but would disappear for stretches. I hope he gets an opportunity to play somewhere.
Watched him when he was at SJU. Very high bball IQ. Not overly athletic, but smooth is the word I would use to describe his play. Very under control with everything he does. Also a jack of all trades type of player. He's undersized to play forward like he did in college.
I been checking his stats and stuff too at Erie. He's been getting the shots now that tyler, smith and I believe shakur are gone.
They have a new pg now too it seems. He's been putting up decent numbers as well
Knicks needed to make use of their affiliate. They also need to maximize the talent they already have.
Sigh

Yah, he always reminded me of a destitute man's Shawn Marion. He had three-point rage in college, especially at the top key. He's not a super freak athletically, but he has a good bounce in his step when he's healthy. He's healthy. so that already makes him a better option than Metta at this point.

I agree. He'd be better than Metta at this point. We need young guys to eat role player minutes. Relying on KMart, Metta, and Amare will not work. I think Brownlee would be a very good NBA bench player.

Don't agree just from the standpoint of Knicks probably getting matched up with Indy/Miami in round 1 (if they can climb back in - I think they will).
His D, while not the same as it once was, will be valuable against LeBron or West/George if Woodson can figure him into one of his many magical rotations.

Yeah his D is still good but he's a major offensive liability. He was bricking them all over the place before he got injured, taking bad, contested shots too.
