Free agent forward Shawne Williams has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Defenders of the D-League, sources tell Yahoo Sports
I think Williams would be a really nice fit with the Knicks in a Cope type role. The guy is only 27-28 and was having a pretty good season in LA.

He got waived from the injury depleted lakers in a system he had his best success as a pro..cmon now REALLY!!!

I believe they needed a roster spot and didnt want his contract to become guaranteed.
Williams was having something of a resurgent season for the Lakers, averaging 5.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 32 games.
