Needs more minuets ... Dudes got crazy potential hustles on defense, aggressive on the boards, polished offensive moves. Finishes around the hoop and has great range! Gets to the free throw line... At 22 talk about a top ten draft pick... Play Tyler more!!!
Just a little more. crawl-walk-run
He has some great numbers in a small sample this year
I like Tyler a lot and i agree he needs mor minutes BUT lets slow it down just a tad. Im glad he has impressed in his limited minutes but teh enxt step is how he handles more minutes and better competition
I like Tyler. Wish his year 2 was still locked up. I wasn't sure if his good summer league play would transfer to the regular season. It has. The guy could be a real steal. Showing range on his shot tonight was a big surprise. Also, like every other big on the Knicks he plays well alongside KMart. If the Knicks revisit the big line up the other big needs to be KMart or possibly Amare.
Agreed i love his potential.. Mans got a knack for putting the ball in the hoop
His game development reminds me a lot of a young Nene

Sounds like a together kid. Gave a lot of compliments to the vets.
Seriously as a big like Tyler at age 22 7foot7 wing span, great range not only can he rebound he can get after the ball. Finishes strong, can get to the line, polished mid range . where would he go in the draft? Top ten-15 dude needs 20 plus min a game. And he beasted it in the summer league.
Misterearl where are you? you were talking so much crap when i said woodson is an idiot for not playing this kid
I just hope we don't lose Tyler next year

I know waiving him for Chris Smith was ridiculous. Grunwald knew what he was doing. Both Tyler and CJ had team options for year two. CJ doesn't seem to be quiet there yet but as a prospect he certainly has more merits than Chris Smith.

We should probably stop playing him then.

Seriously. Or wait until he struggles and then bench him. It'll be so frustrating if they can't get him back.
what's scary about the kid is he was a dynamic post game as well. Right now he's just playing basic basketball staying in the flow and maximizing his opportunities. We got a player. His potential as the future of the kicks at the 4 spot is very bright.

I don't get why they're not putting team options on the contracts like the Rockets did with Beverly. It can't be the case that all these guys - Copeland, Murry, Tyler - are rejecting that.

Tyler did have the team option for year2 prior to being waived when he hurt his foot. His knee deal is for 1 yr.

His current deal on the Knicks is 1 year? That's what I thought but hoopshype doesn't say
Or do you mean he bought a knee that he has to return in a year?
I refuse to get excited about a unsigned player until he signs for a 2nd year. Will not allow myself to be disappointed again. See Lin and Copeland
You don't get bird rights until the 3rd year though
