Are there even 2 PGs better than Lowry? He's got an incredibly efficient 16 points a game and almost a 4:1 assist turnover ratio. Paul is better. Westbrook is just a chucker. I guess you can put Curry and Parker ahead of him too.
You think he's better than Dragic, Blessoe, and Rondo? I'm assuming you're not counting D Rose.
This year lowry is probably playing better when you factor in defense. The problem is his best years came in a contract year. He is still an above avgerage pg but this year he is playing elite. I would want him over Rondo regardless though.
Also, where would lillard fit in the top pg discussion?

I agree with what you're saying. No doubt, it's a risk but if really all we're giving up is 1 draft pick and say 4 yrs, 40 mil, it's worthwhile. Absolute worst case scenario, he's still a good starting point guard. If he plays like in past years, he might be worth $7 mil per but the extra $3 mil per we'd be paying him wouldn't kill us.
i think this is evidently clear:
non of the knicks bigs work well with the other bigs.
chandlers can't work with amare or bargs.
amare can't work with chandler or bargs.
bargs can't work with chandler or amare.
it's not a coincidence that the team plays better when only 1 big is on the floor at any time.
the long term side effect - melo's career will be shortened.
